Chapter 1159 - IUD-Chapter 1154 An Impossible-to-Evaluate, Rule-Breaking Existence

After that, the group simply chatted for a while. Fubuki and Genos remained mostly silent, merely listening as the others talked.

Sylvia was a little uncomfortable at first, but, being the naturally graceful diva she was, she quickly relaxed. Putting everything else aside, she cheerfully joined Fang Li and Saitama in casual conversation.

It truly was nothing more than small talk. Their topics were no different from neighbors discussing what groceries to buy or what television programs to watch, with only the occasional mention of the Hero Association.

After Fang Li brought up the Hero Association, Saitama seemed to become somewhat interested.

Perhaps... he would eventually join after all.

As evening approached, Fang Li's group prepared to leave.

"See you next time," Saitama said, waving to them from the doorway.

"See you," Fang Li returned the farewell, and the three of them set off.

The setting sun cast long shadows behind them as Fang Li and Sylvia walked side by side in front, with Fubuki following quietly behind.

Only then did Sylvia finally ask the question that had been on her mind. "Is Saitama-kun really as strong as you say he is?"

At her words, the calm, composed expression on Fang Li's face finally slipped. He let out a quiet sigh.

Saitama really was that strong.

In the original story, a doctor whose biological research had reached the very pinnacle of humanity once explained the source of Saitama's strength.

In this world, every living creature possesses an inherent limit that cannot be overcome through effort alone. The differences between species and individuals determine that limit, the purpose of which is to allow living beings to grow without losing their survival instincts or their sanity. This restriction on growth is known as the 'Limiter'.

Every species possesses its own Limiter. The only difference is that each species, and even each individual, has a different cap, resulting in different levels of talent and ability.

For example, Fubuki's older sister, the Esper capable of telekinetically pulling meteors from outer space, was born with extraordinary talent. Her Limiter was naturally set much higher than that of ordinary people, giving her immense potential and overwhelming power.

As for humans who transformed into Mysterious Beings under various external influences, they effectively became entirely different lifeforms. Their bodies were reborn as another species, resetting their Limiter and granting them abilities far beyond those of ordinary humans.

In other words... if someone could completely remove their Limiter, the ceiling on their growth would disappear. Their potential would become limitless, their strength would continue increasing forever, and they would become a true monster.

Saitama was the only human in this world who had successfully broken his Limiter, obtaining unparalleled growth and unimaginable power. He was an existence even more outrageous than a Main God's Envoy.

Although Main God's Envoys also have their human limitations removed and are theoretically capable of becoming infinitely stronger, they still have to earn Exchange Points, Attribute Points, and Skill Points by traveling through different worlds. Once they reach a certain stage, they must even complete Promotion Quests before advancing further.

Saitama, however, had no such restrictions. Because he had broken through his Limiter, his strength continued to increase through every movement he made. And there was no limit.

In other words, Saitama's attributes continued to rise naturally while he ate, drank, exercised, or simply lived his daily life. There was no end to that growth. As a result, in less than three years, his strength had reached an utterly terrifying level.

Within this world, he stood unrivaled. Even Saitama's biological structure itself had gradually evolved into something far more complex than that of an ordinary human.

Fang Li had witnessed this with his own eyes. Although he had spent the entire visit casually chatting with Saitama as if it were an ordinary day, he had already activated his 'Mystic Eyes of Death Perception'.

What he saw through those eyes was astonishing. Not only were Saitama's 'Death Lines' incredibly few in number, but they were also unbelievably faint. It was as though the concept of a human's death no longer fully applied to that extraordinary existence.

At the very least, the Death Lines Fang Li could perceive were no longer those connected to ordinary physical death. Instead, they had risen to the level of concepts. Some represented the death of Saitama's very existence; others represented the death of his soul itself.

As for the ordinary causes of human death, they were so scarce on Saitama's body that they were almost nonexistent. In other words, to kill Saitama was now almost no different from killing a concept itself.

Moreover, Saitama's biological structure continued becoming more complex as time passed. Fang Li had every reason to believe that, sooner or later, this rule-defying existence would evolve to a level equal to the world itself. If that day ever came, then killing Saitama would be no different from killing the world.

"..."

After listening to Fang Li's explanation, Sylvia fell silent. After a while, she quietly asked, "Even you... couldn't kill him?"

Fang Li only gave a single answer. "If I can strike the Death Line, then no matter what kind of existence it is, I can kill it." He sighed softly. "The problem is whether I can actually hit it."

In other words, Fang Li had absolutely no confidence that he could strike Saitama's Death Line. And in truth, that was exactly the case.

Although Saitama appeared completely lacking in vigilance, as if Fang Li could kill him with a surprise attack, Fang Li believed that the moment he charged forward, he probably wouldn't even have time to swing his knife before Saitama knocked him down. That was just how overwhelmingly powerful Saitama was.

Unable to suppress her curiosity any longer, Sylvia asked, "Then... what Rank is he?"

Hearing that, Fang Li could only smile bitterly. "I don't know."

He truly didn't know, because even Fang Li had no idea how strong Saitama really was. In the original story, Saitama had never once used his full strength to defeat an opponent.

Even enemies capable of destroying humanity, or even the Earth itself, had only managed to make him become serious. They had never forced him to fight with everything he had.

Therefore, no one knew Saitama's true limit. Even if someone somehow did, it wouldn't matter. Because he continued growing stronger every single day. Who could possibly know just how powerful Saitama would eventually become?

Sylvia understood what Fang Li meant. Thinking back to that bald man with the perpetually blank expression, she simply couldn't reconcile his appearance with such unimaginable strength.

Seeing the look on her face, Fang Li smiled. "Don't think about it too much." He gently took Sylvia's hand. "No matter how strong he is, he's only that strong within this world."

After all, this world was merely one stop along the journey of Fang Li and Sylvia.

Limitless potential? They possessed it as well.

As long as they continued living as Main God's Envoys, then sooner or later it wouldn't be impossible for them to catch up to Saitama. A single Dungeon World could never confine the growth of a Main God's Envoy. That was what Fang Li wanted to tell her.

Hearing those words, Sylvia immediately felt as though a weight had been lifted from her heart. She smiled radiantly and gently squeezed Fang Li's hand in return.

Behind them, Fubuki silently watched everything. She said nothing, yet a trace of envy quietly passed through her eyes.

'When... will I ever have someone I can trust and rely on like that...?'
