When Percy said we had a 'small' Dorm room, he wasn't bullshiting, it was basically a walk-in closet with a bit of walking room on the side with my bed on the side and a writing table-chair combo at the end of the bed near the door.
There was also a small square window whose sole purpose due to it's odd high placement in the room was clearly to shine room into the room. For expressly the sole reason of telling shitty teenagers that the sun was up and they needed to get up obviously!
"Well, this is certainly something," I muttered as I saw how my suitcase was also lying on my bed and after checking it to make sure everything was in order, I just kicked it beneath my bed and laid down on the said bed with a couple of school books at my side.
"Alright, so tomorrow I will get my class timetable, and then when I am given more information in Body Transformation and Elemental Harmonization, and then Meditation and Internal Cultivation. I will go to the library and let the Library of Heaven's Path go wild." I muttered to myself.
And with a solid game plan made, I went into my cheat. The Heaven's Path Library, so that I could read this year's school books at high speed and maximum comprehension power so I could internalize all the information.
The next morning I awoke... Feeling fucking fantastic honestly. You could say a lot about the fact I was basically sleeping in a walk-in closet. But the twin bed I had was perfect for me frankly.
Coming down into the Common Room, I found Ron sitting alone as it was rather earlier according to the clock mounted on the wall just outside my dorm room. And coming over to him, he gave me a nod. "Hey Jake, you sleep well?" He asked with an easy smile.
"Honestly, that bed was fantastic. So I am surprised to see you up bright and early?" I said with amusement.
Ron gave a small smirk before he shrugged and said. "I love my hot showers, and with six older siblings and a younger sister... With only two showers in the house?"
He then yawned a bit and added. "Normally if it's the summer I just go straight back to sleep and don't wake up till like nine or ten honestly. But I can't do that here."
I gave Ron a pat on the shoulder and said with a knowing look. "I getcha man. But hey at least we get to actually use magic and cultivate now... Actually, I have a question if you don't mind?" I said as I had a thought strike me.
Ron waved his hand as though to say 'go ahead'. So I continued. "So with Hogwart's starting at age sixteen due to... Concerns about maturity levels when it comes to using magic and cultivating. What do Pureblood and Halfblood kids like you do before coming to Hogwarts anyway?"
There was a pause as Ron actually looked surprised at my question before he chuckled and said. "That's a good question man. But uh yeah... Well for me and the rest of my siblings we were mostly homeschooled by my mom, seeing as we weren't going to mortal public schools due to how we are monster bait with how we are wizards."
Ron took a breath and continued. "Richer families use their wealth to have their kids taking herbs and natural treasures over their years to make them more magically powerful for the future. Along with training them harshly on what is expected of them as being from a noble bloodline."
There was a pause before Ron grimaced and shook his head. "My Grandma from my mom's side, the Prewetts is three hundred and eighty-five years old... And she wanted to take Ginny in hand as an heiress of the Prewett name, but it only took a week before Ginny refused to go back as Grandma was super harsh."
A female voice cut in from behind me and I looked back to see Ginny standing next to Rosaria with her arms folded under her handful-sized breasts. "She literally put me in a cage and dropped me into a pit filled with starving Lycan's she captured and made me stay in that cage for an hour as starving monsters tried to eat me... All so I could face fear without trembling."
I legit just stared at Ginny for a long moment and she actually looked subconscious for a second and blurted out. "The cage was enchanted you know! I wasn't actually in any danger... It's yeah I don't like dogs anymore now."
My lips twitched at seeing the awkward red head kinda pivoting on her foot but I just shook my head and said blandly. "Alrighty then. I will be avoiding the Weasley family reunions then."
And Ron chuckled as Rosaria snorted with the 'Chosen One?' Cocking her hip slightly as she said. "Well a free spot for me at their legendary Christmas feasts. Speaking of food, lets go to breakfast. We need to get our timetables, and figure out how to bloody get to our classes in this giant castle."
'That's a very valid point.' I thought as I stood up and then the thought of moving around the castle. Plus the weasley's made me wonder for a second. Could my Library of Heaven mentally download the Marauder's Map?
Hell did the Marauders even make the map at all? As Remus Lupin, the werewolf has a lot more options in this universe and werewolves aren't even hated as their bites and curses can be purged if treated quickly enough and one of the many Hunt god's and goddesses can deal with it.
And so we made our way do to the Great Hall were we quickly loaded up on some breakfast food and happily ate while continuing to talk between us I found that Ron and I were going to be good friends.
As sure in the novels and movies he had his faults... But that was just being human, not to mention being an angsty teenager helping to 'save' the world and whatnot.
While we were eating however I saw Rosaria's eyes tighten and then I flinched slightly feeling a soft hand land on my shoulder with a bit of a grip as the hand held onto my shoulder. "Hello Jake, I hope you haven't forgotten me over here in Gryffindor." Susan Bones's voice rang out.
I looked behind me and saw the very chesty red head looking at me with a slight pout and I gave a wry smile. "How could I forget you Susan... I literally talked to you yesterday in fact, for several hours on the train as well."
While she was also wearing a spider web themed set of robes that clung to her form tightly with a collar around her neck that was seemingly made of bones.
Susan tittered and rolled her eyes as she snarked teasingly. "Jake, you are supposed to just apologize and-"
But Rosaria cut in as she said with a sickly sweet tone. "Susan, I see your head of House coming. You should get back to your table unless you want to miss your timetables."
Susan's teasing smile died before she gave a more plastic one as she said easily while she gave my shoulder a soft squeeze with her hand drawing down to her fingers as she let go of it. "Oh yes I do see that... Well Jake, if you do need any tutoring for when lesson's start, I am open to helping."
Knowing there was something up, I just gave a shrug and said easily. "Thank you for the offer Susan, I will definitely keep that in mind."
And with that, Susan gave me another look before she left to go see the Hufflepuff house head who was the teacher for Herbology and Spirit Herb Cultivation.
"You should be careful of her, Jake," Ron said quietly, and I blinked. I expected Rosaria or Ginny to say something, given how toxic they were.
But Ron continued very quietly. "The Bones are a dark family who very... Very regularly meaning literally every generation need a New Blood husband or wife for their heirs due to how many rituals and contracts they have with entities dealing with death."
Before I could comment on that or get any answers however. I saw the young and scarily milfy-looking McGonagall coming down the mile-long table with squares of paper flying out of a stack she was holding that landed in front of us.
"Oh this is the timetable huh... Damn, they are keeping us busy huh." I muttered as I took in the damned timetable that was obviously going to suck for a good while to get used to.
My lessons hours ran from 9;AM-11;AM Then 11;30AM-1;30PM, and then finally 2;PM- 4:PM the day's official lessons would end.
And then there were the actual weekly timetables themselves.
Monday- Essence Manipulation-[Charms] Weapon Infusion and Combat Arts-[DaDa] Body Transformation & Elemental Harmonization [Transfiguration]
Tuesday- Alchemy and Essence Refinement-[Potions] Herbology and Spirit Herb Cultivation-[Herbology] Wizards vs. The Supernatural World- [History]
Wednesday- Arcane Array Crafting-[Runes] Meditation and Internal Cultivation[Strictly Cultivation, seems to have replaced astronomy at least] Beast Taming and Spiritual Bonds- [Care of Magical Creatures]
Thursday- Weapon Infusion and Combat Arts-[DaDa] Body Transformation & Elemental Harmonization [Transfiguration]- Sparring/Guided Cultivation
Friday- Meditation and Internal Cultivation- [Strictly Cultivation] Essence Manipulation [Charms] Alchemy and Essence Refinement- [Potions]
So yeah... I had a busy school week ahead of me to say the least.
