Chapter 124 - Other Activities 3

The current group was a very small group that had come together for the sake of survival or for other purposes.

Such a group usually had some hidden motives involved when it came to their true motivations, but everyone was able to work together to achieve the same purpose in the end.

They were not heroes, but they were not villains either.

The closest thing that they could be called by others would be vigilantes.

Perhaps they just wanted to take action when nobody else could to make the surroundings more peaceful for everyone, and were willing to go to certain extremes that heroes would not be willing to go to to achieve that purpose.

Perhaps they would just be in it for the sake of vengeance, as they had a particular target in mind and they were working their way up to them.

Perhaps they were criminals disguising their actions to hide their true purpose.

All of it was unknown, but the group had only been together for two months, and they had worked together a couple of times on different things.

Most of their joint actions usually involved targeting small-time criminals, but they were usually within the same area.

That area was where Tiffany had decided to invest some of her time.

It was not just for herself that she had been doing it.

It was an opportunity to grow from experiencing the harshness of such a place and to evolve from such challenges, but it was also an opportunity to look into certain things from another perspective.

She got to experience another side of life from it all, and it helped her to understand such locations much better by experiencing them herself.

That area in particular was home to a certain gang that had started to become more prominent over time during the past couple of years.

It had its own territory in the city, which was expanding as a result of various territory battles among the smaller gangs.

It seemed to be absorbing the other gangs they had disputes against which was the cause for its growth so far.

The main issue was that they were not as restrained as a lot of criminal syndicates that followed certain rules or codes of conduct.

With her getting to know more about the gang Butch was a part of and living in the city, she grew more curious about the movements of the other gangs.

The main issue was that there was a limit to what she could learn using her current methods, so she wanted to take a more proactive approach.

After searching around for quite some time, she eventually ran into people who conflicted with the gang that had taken over the area she had chosen to move into.

Those interactions during her information gathering of the area caused her to start approaching such people to test out how the interactions would go in the future.

Through some trial and error with people she encountered, she had been able to end up with her current group.

The group was quite small, but most of its activities were aimed toward dealing with issues in the area, and Tiffany never had any problems with any of them.

The two of them were actually quite reliable in some ways, and they both had interesting Quirks.

Tiffany took more of a laid-back approach when it came to being a part of the group and left the leadership to anyone else who wished to take on that role.

The leader ended up being the older man whose identity had not been revealed and had been known as Spring.

His name gave away what type of Quirk he had in many ways if someone was able to guess what it was.

The Quirk he had shown was a type that let his limbs act like springs.

The spring-like limbs allowed him to store and release force by coiling his muscles, similar to a coil spring, which was very useful for helping to launch him from one place to another or to launch opponents away in a close range while amplifying his attack damage.

The other person in the group was also a possessor of a Quirk, but it was quite a strange one.

The Quirk was called flatulence, but there were other ways to name it due to it being mainly based around releasing strong bursts of gas from his backside that could both knock people back from the force and be able to disorient them from the foul smells released.

Such a Quirk had its drawbacks but also some tactical uses depending on how it was used.

One of the things that Tiffany had found out during their time working together was how eating different things would affect the gases released and the effects that could be caused to those hit by them.

An example would be when he ate onions, his farts would release a gas that would irritate the target's eyes, similar to tear gas.

His Quirk seemed to be quite unserious at times, but he was actually quite a serious person a lot of the time and seemed to show a lot of hatred toward the gang members they dealt with.

His vigilante name was Gasser, or that was what he had her and Spring call him.

Although they had worked together and gotten closer, they were all quite closed off when it came to revealing their true identities and details about their personal lives.

They may not have revealed anything, but that did not mean Tiffany knew nothing at all about them.

She had her ways of finding her way to uncovering certain truths, and that was what she had been best at.

It was not too difficult to uncover their true identities to check them out a little before deciding to stick around them for a little while longer.
