Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: The Fiery Leap

Here is the revised chapter incorporating Vespera Familia as the primary antagonist syndicate from the future timeline:

Exactly one week had passed since the group returned from their campaign in Rome and successfully established their club cover at school. The late afternoon sun was beginning to dip below the horizon, painting the suburban streets in deep shades of amber and rose as Alex walked side by side with his mentor, Vincenzo Marino.

It felt like a rare moment of ordinary quiet—until the air around them suddenly distorted.

Without warning, a suffocating wave of intense heat surged through the quiet street. Crimson and orange flames erupted from the pavement, spiraling into a roaring inferno that completely swallowed the two of them. Yet, strangely, Alex felt no burn, only a disorienting sensation of weightlessness as the world twisted and collapsed in on itself.

A heartbeat later, the scorching flames vanished as abruptly as they had appeared.

Alex and Vincenzo hit the ground hard, tumbling onto cold, reinforced steel flooring. Coughing slightly as they pushed themselves up, they found themselves inside a dark, sprawling industrial complex—sleek, metallic, and lit only by emergency blue strip lighting.

"What... just happened?" Alex muttered, checking his hands. "Where are we?"

Before Vincenzo could answer, heavy footsteps echoed from the far end of the corridor. Out of the shadows stepped a tall, imposing figure wearing a tailored black suit over a deep red dress shirt. He moved with flawless combat posture, carrying a sharp, dangerous presence.

When the overhead light caught his face, Alex froze. He had the same sharp, piercing eyes and silver-tinged hair, but his features were mature, hardened by years of conflict, and a long, faint scar ran along his jawline.

"It can't be..." Alex breathed, stepping forward in utter shock. "Hayato? Is that you?"

The older man stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes widening in pure disbelief as his gaze flicked between Alex and Vincenzo. "Alex? Vincenzo? No... that's impossible. You're both supposed to be dead. You've been dead for nearly ten years."

Vincenzo's posture went rigid, his eyes narrowing as he stepped in front of Alex, his voice turning cold and demanding. "Dead? Explain yourself immediately. What is this place, and who are you?"

The adult Hayato closed his eyes for a brief moment, letting out a heavy, steadying breath to regain his composure. "You're in the Luciano central vault... ten years in your future."

"Ten years?" Alex repeated, looking around the high-tech terminal. "How did we get here? What killed us?"

"A targeted temporal displacement attack," adult Hayato replied, his tone grave as he met Alex's eyes. "A shadowy, ruthless syndicate known as the Vespera Familia has been systematically hunting down the 10th Generation across timelines. In this era, their strike succeeded because our sky flame was ripped from the past. Our era fell into near-total dark under the Vespera reign without you."

Vincenzo absorbed the reality with a sharp, calculated focus. "So our presence here isn't a mistake. The timeline pulled Alex forward because the future family needs its boss."

"Precisely," adult Hayato said, stepping forward and offering a crisp, respectful bow to his young leader—a gesture carrying ten years of unwavering loyalty. "The guardians of this era are scattered, fighting a losing war against the Vespera threat. But if you are here, Alex, then there is still a chance to rebuild the line, rally the 10th Generation, and rewrite the history that destroyed us."

Alex looked down at his hands, feeling the faint hum of his Sky flame responding beneath his skin. The ordinary high school life he had fought to protect was suddenly dwarfed by the massive trial waiting for him in this dark future.

"We won't let this family fall," Alex said, his voice firming with absolute resolve as he looked up at his future storm guardian. "Tell us what we need to do to stop the Vespera Familia."
