SharpShot:
"Drop your weapons," I yell. Before either of them can move, I pull out one of my blasters and fire a round into the air. The bang echoes throughout the night sky. Both Simou and SpeedBlade jump back and look at me.
Pulling out my second blaster, I aim at both of them.
"Drop your weapons. Now!"
"Knight Sharpshot," SpeedBlade says.
"SharpShot," Simou also says.
I look at the two, staring right at their faces. Simou and SpeedBlade look at me, then at each other, and then back at me.
SpeedBlade slides his sword back into its holder while Simou's fire sword disappears, little specks of fire flying with the wind. I jump back slightly when Simou's sword disappears into thin air.
"Okay. Seriously, that's the third time. Do you have any more tricks to show off?"
I shake my head before sliding my blasters into their holsters. Crossing my arms, I start hearing voices.
"Aw man," I say, placing my hand on my head. "How hard did that robot hit me?"
"SpeedBlade," the voice says, sounding familiar. "SpeedBlade! Can you hear me? Where are you?"
Turning right and left, I follow the sound and look at SpeedBlade.
"SpeedBlade," I say, pointing at his waist. SpeedBlade's head jumps. He reaches down and pulls out a small walkie-talkie. He then pushes open the cover.
"QuickShot," SpeedBlade answers. "I am here."
"SpeedBlade, is everything okay? JumpStart and I heard you screaming. What's happening?"
"Everything is fine. I ran into Knight SharpShot, and it appeared he has made a new ally."
"That's...interesting," QuickShot replies. "Have you found Ms. Justice yet?"
"Wait," I interrupt. "What do you mean by that? Is Ms. Justice missing?"
"Ms. Justice is missing," SpeedBlade says. "We three are searching for her but have not found her yet."
"Let me join you in finding her," I say. "I have my motorcycle nearby. I can help you cover my ground."
"A moat-tie-sigh-goal? What?"
"A motorcycle," I repeat. "You know; two wheels, a motor."
SpeedBlade, and even Simou, look at me like I'm speaking a foreign language.
"Never mind. I'll help."
I begin walking toward my motorcycle but stop. Hearing my radio, I reach into my motorcycle's hidden compartment.
"All unit, all unit," the dispatcher says, "Reports of a giant robot attacking multiple storefronts on the west side of the city. Please respond."
"Another giant robot? West side of the city?"
I turn and see what looks like flashing green lights far in the distance.
"What's that?"
SpeedBlade and Simou walk to my sides and also look at the flashing lights.
"I do not know," SpeedBlade answers.
"It might be trouble," I say, "If it is, then there's no better place to search for Ms. Justice."
"You are right. I will see you there, fellow hero."
With that, SpeedBlade uses his super speed to run toward the lights. I climb onto my motorcycle. About to leave, I feel two hands on my shoulder. Looking behind, I see Simou sitting behind me.
"This is the mo-tor-cycle you talked about. Hmm, in Reubmnant, we called these dippers."
"Dipper? I---Nevermind. Listen, Simou. This is most likely going to be dangerous. You could get hurt. I'll understand if you don't want to come."
"If I didn't want to come, I wouldn't be sitting right behind you on your dippers."
"Please stop calling my motorcycle that, and fine. Hold on then."
Kicking the stand back and revving the handlebars, I launch my motorcycle forward.
"Can I ask you something?" Simou yells over the wind. "Who is this 'Ms. Justice' and why are you so determined to find her?"
"She...reminds me of someone," I answer. "And I don't want to lose that person again."
Wolfgang Sturm:
"Argghhh!"
I roar as I run toward the massive robot with sharpened claws at my sides. The pile of junk throws a punch, but I jump and land on its arm. Grabbing and holding onto it as the robot pulls its arm back, I then lunge at its head. Scratching and tearing the metal, I rip through it, exposing the inner wires and boards. Copying the robot, I pull my hand back before throwing it forward. My hand inside the head now, I grab at whatever and pull it out. Jumping off the robot as it tips over, the whole street shakes when it hits the street.
"Like I said. A pile of junk."
Throwing the torn wires and broken circuit boards to the ground, I look around. The street is empty. All the people ran away, leaving behind cars ripped in half and stores with broken windows and doors. I shake my head and begin walking away.
"Not my problem," I say. "Not my cars. Not my stores."
However, about to leave, I stop. A strong scent hits my nose, a combination of metal and oil. Besides the smell, I also begin to hear a loud, rumbling sound, like a jet turbine. Following both the sound and smell, I look up and see a bunch of other robots flying through the air.
Giant white robots with fat bodies, just like the one I destroyed, surround me. Slamming onto the street and making craters, the robots' eyes all turn red. They raise their hand, showing off swords and blasters.
"I knew I shouldn't have gotten involved," I say, looking around. The robots surround me. Simultaneously, they all take one step toward me. Firing beams of red energy from their eyes, they all head toward me.
Crossing my arms and bracing for the attack, I hear footsteps running toward me. Turning, I see the same crazy girl running toward me, holding what looks like a trash can lid.
"Watch out," the girl yells, tackling me. The robots hit the spot where I was standing, scorching it. Falling to the ground, the girl pushes herself up. She raises the lid as one of the robots raises its leg. Kicking her, the girl blocks the attack, but is thrown into the air. Watching as she falls to the ground, I look at her.
"She...she saved me? Me?"
I look at my hand. It is grey and wrinkled. Since the accident, I looked more like a monster than a man. The girl saw me. I pulled down my sleeve and showed her my monstrous arm, but despite it all, she still saved me.
The robot's eyes, the one that kicked the girl, begin turning red again. About to fire, as the girl pushes herself up again, I shoot my hand out, firing more green lightning bolts.
I stun the robot, sparks jumping from it as it shakes. Running toward the robot while still shooting lightning bolts, I swing my other hand, cutting the robot's leg off. Falling to the ground, I am about to dive my hand into its head again, but before I can, multiple energy beams hit me.
Screaming as I'm thrown into the air, I hit the ground with a loud thud.
"Ahh..."
Smoking like a cut of meat over a fire, I grind my teeth while painfully pushing myself up. Looking at my arms and body as they quickly heal themselves, I hear something different. Instead of stomping or a whizzing, I begin hearing fans.
"Now what?"
Looking up, I see a half-man, half-machine weirdo flying in on a hovering platform with railings and three fans underneath. The weirdo is bald. The whole right side of his face is covered in metal, and his right eye is a glowing red. What really hit me is that, while he still has a left arm, his right arm is gone, replaced by a giant machine blaster.
"Ha," I say, "I can't believe I'm seeing this."
"Scared?" The machine man asks.
"No. I can't believe I'm seeing someone uglier than me."
