Chapter 12 - 12. SPIES ELIMINATION

After leaving Onoki's office, Ren headed to the training grounds to talk to Haru and other important members of Stone Village. He knew that the upcoming war would require a well-trained and organized army. That's why he selected 20 people and made them commanders for nearly 100 people each. These commanders would be responsible for their respective groups and ensure that their members were training and progressing towards their goal of reaching the chunin level before the next year.

Ren understood that creating a hierarchy within their forces was crucial to achieving success in the upcoming war. Without proper organization and hierarchy, their forces would become chaotic and ineffective. With a clear chain of command, however, their troops could work together smoothly and accomplish their objectives.

To maintain order and structure within the groups, each commander was responsible for managing 8-9 teams. These teams were composed of 12 members, and each team was further divided into 4 squads. By creating this hierarchy, Ren ensured that each member had a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities within the group. The commanders could then delegate tasks and manage their teams effectively, allowing for a smooth and efficient operation.

The individuals Ren selected to be commanders were not only skilled and experienced but also exhibited strong leadership qualities. They would be responsible for providing guidance and support to their group members, ensuring that they were prepared for the challenges that lay ahead. Ren knew that each commander had the potential to inspire and motivate their group, resulting in better performance and overall success.

As Ren issued orders to the commanders, he emphasized the importance of completing their tasks efficiently and effectively. He knew that their success depended on the collective effort of every member of the army, and the commanders played a crucial role in achieving their goals.

After Ren discussed the matter of spies with the commanders, they were understandably angry and wanted to eliminate them immediately. However, Ren calmed them down, reminding them that the group members had to learn about the world and their village's ways. He informed them that the village head would provide missions that involved killing spies, and they would have to complete these tasks to progress.

Ren added that the details of these missions would be provided by the village head, and they would have to inform their teammates of the situation. If they were successful in completing the missions, they would be promoted to genin. If not, they would have to continue training until they could become genin like any other normal villager.

Moreover, Ren emphasized that the promotion part of the mission would be kept confidential. This would help maintain secrecy and ensure that the spies remained unsuspecting. The commanders agreed to these terms and began planning how to train and equip their teams for the upcoming missions.

After a rigorous training session, Ren made his way to the orphanage for dinner. Following the meal, he headed to his room where he found 30 files waiting for him on his table. Curious, he opened them and began to study them one by one. As he read through the documents, he realized that the missions were all about maintaining order at the border. Konoha had infiltrated the Stone Village in groups, and to counter their activities, the Stone Village had dispatched Jonins to deal with the situation.

The mission at hand was to scout the area to make sure that there were no Leaf Shinobi. The plan was a setup as all the villagers knew that Leaf was acting innocent but were the ones responsible for creating conflicts between other villages by dressing in other village headbands. Ren and his team's objective was to kill the 20 spies and act as if their own ten members were also killed during the mission. The team would then continue to participate in border troops until all the spies were eliminated.

After studying the files, Ren concluded that the mission was of utmost importance, and it required careful planning and execution. He realized that he needed to bring this to commanders to up to speed on the plan and make sure that everyone understood their roles and responsibilities. He planned to gather his team and discuss the details of the mission, and also to go through the possible scenarios that could arise during the mission.

The following day, Ren went to the training ground and greeted everyone there before starting his training. His plan was unfolding exactly as he wanted, and as time passed, the number of spies in the village began to decrease. Some of them began to notice and attempted to flee the village, but they were apprehended and eliminated by the ANBU before they could escape.

It took a total of four months to eliminate all of the spies. Out of the 600 people who were sent on the mission, only eight teams failed to eliminate the spies and were severely injured. However, the Jonin who were following them were able to secure the elimination of the remaining spies.

Finally, the village was able to breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that their borders were now secure from enemy infiltration. Ren was pleased with the outcome, and he knew that his village was now better equipped to face any future threats. The success of this mission was a testament to the effectiveness of his leadership and the hard work of his comrades.
