Lying on the bed, Fisher's lips parted slightly in response to Elliog's words. The pronoun "I" had escaped his lips, but the rest of the words seemed to be stuck in his throat and did not come out right away.
Upon hearing his voice, the smile on Elliog's face became even more radiant, and she urged,
"Hmm, hurry up and speak."

Fisher swallowed a mouthful of saliva, and for some reason, an ominous feeling suddenly arose within him.
Although she is not here now, Fisher could not guarantee that she was unaware he had entered the dynasty. Given her attention to him, she might often be lurking in the shadows, spying on his every move. He found it hard to say whether what he was about to say would reach her ears.
Fisher could certainly gamble that she was not present, and he could see this as a necessary step to earn Elliog's help. After all, it was just a few simple words.
