The only way to avoid exposing any information and to get someone uninvolved with him to do that kind of thing would be to pay them.
Such a person could be paid to watch over that area, or they could be paid to do more, like reporting those who visited there or taking some form of proactive action themselves to capture the person behind everything.
The problem was that any failure could result in retaliation from the person who was blackmailing him.
There was a greater risk involved, and that involved him having to spend money on such a thing.
It would end up returning to the very same problem that got in the way of his actions in other scenarios.
His wife would notice something strange about the money that he was taking out of his bank account or the statements that would show him transferring the money directly to the account of the person who would be paid for such services.
