Lance suddenly kicked out, trying to break through them to gain more space.
But even the force he unleashed did not shake the Heretics surging forward. That kick hit right into the heretic's ab-covered belly, but before he could retreat, he was pushed back in by those behind.
One could say the broken sword was earned with the Heretics' flesh and blood, and with the outpost right in front, they certainly weren't willing to give up like that.
And other Heretics took the opportunity to surge up. Under their frenzied attack, the Knight's Armor was as fragile as a soda can. A few more claws tore through the armor and ripped the Flesh. This was despite the broken sword deflecting the claws aimed at his head, or it would have been far worse.
In theory, having been pierced through the heart earlier, even if you explode with force, there should be a limit. Now faced with such severe wounds, you should be gravely injured and on the brink of death even if you don't die, right?
