There was also his partnership with the Charleston family— although they were a family that never burdened him in the slightest and, if anything, had been incredibly beneficial to him.
As for Tara, the very person who had erased his name from the Hughes family's inheritance as a threat because Zion refused to obey, Zion had not cared about it at all back then. He already possessed wealth and businesses of his own, making the inheritance meaningless to him. Even so, he eventually resumed working with Tara once again. He did prefer working on his own, but he was not foolish enough to ignore the fact that, in business, no matter how powerful you were, connections would always remain the most important thing to cultivate.
