I open my palm and let a single Green Mana float above me. I can see the others watching it in awe as they move their machines near the mana to perform a scan. This is the last type of mana for them to analyze.
They ask if they can scan my mana, and I am more than willing to show them. I condense the mana and let it float so they can begin. They place the mana inside a specialized tube and subject it to all kinds of tests.
I want to see if they can control the mana and develop technology to use it without a naturally suited body to directly control mana or contain it. Sadly, even though they can use mana, they will never be as strong as I because they cannot contain more than a few units of mana within their bodies. Perhaps a megastructure could contain more than fifty mana in a single container.
There is a reason why a regular mage in the Magic: The Gathering world cannot use more than two types of colored mana, at least, to my knowledge. Only a Planeswalker is able to use all types. Most people are better with one or two types of mana, even if they can technically use them all.
Speaking of mana, Jill, the leader of the people here, explains how they perceive me. According to her, I am beautiful beyond comparison to their eyes and senses. My green mana makes me feel warm and inviting. Blue mana makes me seem like a wise person who knows how to fix all problems. Red mana makes me charismatic, ensuring each of my words demands attention. White mana makes me look saintly and deserving of reverence. Lastly, my black mana makes me feel so powerful that I deserve every bit of respect they can give.
So yeah. When that old vampire tells me these people see me as a god, he means it.
These people see me as proof that their beliefs are right; they believe they will prosper now that I have rescued them from destruction.
As for Zelretch, they say he looks incredibly powerful, ancient, and chaotic. To them, he appears as someone more than willing to help people, provided those people entertain him enough.
Their description is spot on.
As for Yasaka, to them, she is like a massive nine-tailed fox made of blue fire and surrounded by thick green nature energy. That isn't a surprise. What surprises me the most is how they describe Asia.
According to them, Asia is a woman made of light, and standing next to her is a massive tortoise-like creature that can breathe fire and control water. It seems they can even see the Class Card that Asia holds.
I have a theory about why they cannot see Enkidu inside me or Castoria in Yasaka. It is because our power is too immense, masking the Class Cards from their senses. Asia is powerful now because of her training in senjutsu and magic, but she is still a high-class fighter in terms of energy reserves. Only through her Class Card can she punch above her weight and enter the Ultimate-class rank.
Anyway, aside from letting them scan my magic, they also agree to help restore the alternate world of Nier. They are more than happy to take care of the machines because, according to them, they are easy to handle with their current technology.
It turns out they have had problems with rogue AI in the past. Not coming from their civilization, but rather another civilization, creating an insane AI that murders its creator and goes on a rampage to turn all biological beings into machines.
Fortunately for us, Jill and her people can create a quantum virus that attacks the rogue AI at its very essence, regardless of distance. They need time to create the virus and access a terminal or server that the machines use to inject it. Lucky for us, there are many of these scattered across the world, but they are well-defended areas where the machines recycle or build new units.
When the androids hear about this, they go wild. They are eager to finally win the long war against the machines, and the fact that they will serve their creators afterward only increases their enthusiasm. However, after a quick reminder that the humans do not want them to throw their lives away, they manage to rein in their urge to start an all-out war.
At the very least, the android population in the alternate world will double, as I know the other androids will be eager to visit another world and dismantle the machines. My only hope is that the humans here are able to create some sort of story that reduces the pain of hearing the truth about the alternate humans being extinct.
I hope so.
"Ryan, I think you forgot something."
I blink for a second and look at Yasaka before remembering the reason we are here.
"Right!"
I almost forget that we came here to request a medical crew for our new business plan. However, before I can stand up and talk with the others, I see White and Commander White walking toward us with a group of androids. Among them, I spot the twins, Devola and Popola.
"Sir, we have gathered all the androids with medical programming and information. We have also collected all the information needed to open a medical company in your world and help with further projects."
Commander White hands me the report, and White nods in agreement.
"They have already been briefed on their new roles and are ready to follow your command."
I give them a smile and respond.
"Reliable as always, both of you. Good job."
They blush slightly. I can see a hint of jealousy from the other androids at the praise, but it vanishes quickly as I turn my gaze toward them.
"As you heard from the Whites, you will work within a company as 'researchers' and 'scientists' who will 'discover' cures for cancer and other diseases plaguing humanity in my world. It will be difficult, and many will want to stop you. It will be a strange experience because we humans are creatures of paradox. We can be the most pacifist race on one hand and the most warmongering on the other. That is our nature, and it requires someone to ensure we do not destroy ourselves. Some will try to stop us out of greed and jealousy. You need to be prepared for that. To help humanity, we must face humans. Will you be able to endure this? Will you help us create a better future? Will you help them reach for the stars?"
Silence blankets the backyard, but it is soon broken by the cheers of the androids.
"We will help, sir!"
"It is a pleasure to ensure the future of humanity!"
"It is our dream, sir!"
"Leave it to us! We will make sure every human can reach the stars and unite together!"
"That's right! We are reigniting the great goal! Unification of humanity and exploring the new frontier!"
"I cannot wait!"
I wonder if that last part was the goal of humanity in their world. Regardless, it is good to hear. It will motivate them further towards our goal. I give them a smile and say:
"Then, welcome to Project Utopia!"
