Evelyn Ford was silent for several seconds. Meeting Winnie Miller's expectant gaze, she shook her head.
"I'm sorry, I can't."
"Why?"
"He's my man."
Winnie Miller was stunned for a moment, then her face flushed bright red. "I'm sorry."
With that, she turned and quickly ran off.
"Joy Ford, you have a rival! What are you going to do? Is she going to fight you for Mr. Ronan Kendrick?"
Evelyn Ford patted Wendy's shoulder. "Don't worry, it's not that serious."
"But on TV, a lot of girls hurt each other over a man, and men can be fickle. I don't want you to get hurt, and I don't want to see you cry."
Evelyn Ford hugged Wendy. "I won't cry, and I definitely won't get hurt. That young lady just now didn't know Ronan Kendrick and I were together, that's why she was interested in him. That's perfectly normal. After I told her, she apologized to me."
Wendy sighed. "Men are just a distraction. I'm going to stay single forever."
