Before dinner, Ian Yates came over to call the two of them to eat. He'd grown a bit taller recently, and after changing into clothes that fit him well, he looked much more upright. Once his face was clean, his handsome, boyish face was revealed, still retaining a bit of baby fat.
"Evelyn, hurry up."
Hearing him urging them from the doorway, Ronan Kendrick opened the door and stared at him.
"Quiet."
Ian Yates made a face. "I'm calling for Evelyn, not you. You're always so jealous, and that's not good. A man should be more magnanimous. Don't make things difficult for Evelyn."
He crossed his arms, lecturing Ronan Kendrick with a straight face. Just then, a gust of cold wind blew past. Ian Yates lost his footing and fell flat on his back. After scrambling up, he awkwardly brushed the snow off his clothes and snuck a peek at Ronan Kendrick.
Ronan Kendrick's lips twitched. Ian Yates, both embarrassed and angry, demanded, "Why are you laughing at me?"
