After becoming a Navy Admiral, besides receiving the Navy's exclusive uniform, the Justice coat, and the golden Buster Call Den Den Mushi, Nagasawa also got his own office and several direct subordinates.
Perhaps because he was still new, the subordinates assigned to him by the Navy didn't seem particularly impressive.
The highest-ranking among them was only a Rear Admiral, and there was only one.
Coincidentally, Nagasawa recognized her. It was Hina, who had appeared several times in the original story—the "Black Cage" Hina, user of the Paramecia Cage-Cage Fruit. Her strength could only be considered average, but she was indeed very beautiful.
Besides Rear Admiral Hina, some of her former subordinates, along with several field-grade and company-grade officers, were assigned to him, though Nagasawa had little impression of them.
"Hina feels that Admiral White Horse seems to be thinking about something inappropriate."
A woman's sixth sense kicked in as Hina looked at Nagasawa suspiciously.
Hearing Hina call out his Admiral epithet, Nagasawa felt a trace of melancholy.
As everyone knew, Navy Admirals were generally given codenames consisting of a color and an animal, so naturally Nagasawa had received one as well.
But he hadn't expected it to be White Horse.
Wasn't that the same title associated with Cavendish?
Could it be that he was simply too handsome, causing the Vice Admiral responsible for naming him to subconsciously choose White Horse?
In truth, Nagasawa had wanted to be called White Dragon instead.
Dragon was an open and proud revolutionary, while he, White Dragon Nagasawa, would be the revolutionary hidden deep within the Navy.
That was clearly much cooler and carried far more meaning.
Whenever he heard "White Horse," however, he could only think of one phrase:
"He'll never return alive."
Of course, Nagasawa knew that if he actually submitted that reason, he would probably lose his Admiral position before he'd even warmed the seat, instantly becoming a super criminal with a bounty exceeding three billion Berries.
Ryokugyu, who had been squeezed down to Vice Admiral, would probably be delighted.
Nagasawa still intended to cultivate influence within the Navy, so he had no plans to give up his Admiral position for now.
"Ahem. Your imagination is running wild."
Pulling himself out of his childhood memories, Nagasawa put on an upright expression.
"What I was thinking just now was how our Navy can completely sweep pirates into the trash heap of history during this turbulent new era and allow ordinary people to live peaceful lives."
"Hina is pleased. Admiral White Horse appears to be someone with great ambitions."
Although she didn't smile, Hina expressed her approval verbally.
"I never wished to become an Admiral; I only wish for peaceful seas."
Nagasawa spoke calmly.
"Hahaha! As expected of the talent I discovered. Even the way you speak sounds wonderful."
Garp laughed loudly while stuffing senbei into his mouth.
"Vice Admiral Garp."
Hina greeted him skillfully, already accustomed to seeing Garp hanging around Nagasawa's office.
By now, Nagasawa and Garp had become quite familiar with each other.
He took out another teacup, poured Garp some hot tea, and the two immediately started chatting about random things.
Nagasawa had discovered that Admirals really weren't that busy.
At least, he had almost nothing to do.
So every day he simply drank tea and ate snacks with Garp and Sengoku.
Of course, only his main body enjoyed such a leisurely life.
His Shadow Clone had already been dispatched to search for Baltigo, the headquarters of the Revolutionary Army.
In the original story, that island would eventually be destroyed by Blackbeard, forcing the Revolutionary Army to relocate to Momoiro Island.
But considering Blackbeard was already dead in this timeline, the headquarters should still be in the same place.
"Hina, who are the current Seven Warlords again?"
Nagasawa suddenly asked.
After thinking for a moment, Hina replied,
"Dracule Mihawk, Boa Hancock, Buggy, Donquixote Doflamingo, and Trafalgar Law."
"After all the recent personnel changes, only these five remain."
Following the Summit War, the Seven Warlords had undergone major changes.
First, Moria had been removed due to poor performance and insufficient strength.
Then Jinbe lost his title after helping rescue Ace during the Summit War.
Blackbeard, who had also been one of the Seven Warlords, had been killed.
Of course, even if he had survived, he wouldn't have remained a Warlord.
Meanwhile, Buggy's influence expanded rapidly thanks to the followers he gathered during the Summit War, allowing him to somehow rise to the position of Seven Warlord.
As for Law, Nagasawa hadn't expected him to become a Warlord anyway.
He couldn't quite remember the details, but vaguely recalled that Law had become a Warlord as part of some larger plan involving Blackbeard.
Apparently, even Blackbeard's death hadn't changed that outcome.
"Nagasawa, why are you asking about the Seven Warlords? Planning to beat those bastards up?"
"If you do, make sure you do it secretly. Don't kill them, and don't get caught. Otherwise, those World Government officials will definitely drag you in for a lecture."
Knowing Nagasawa disliked the Seven Warlords, Garp reminded him.
Hina felt speechless upon hearing that.
Surely the proper advice wasn't "beat them secretly."
It should have been "don't beat them at all."
After all, the Seven Warlords were officially allies of the Navy. Attacking them openly would certainly not be considered a minor matter.
In Hina's opinion, the proper approach would be stripping them of their Warlord status first.
Then killing them openly would no longer be a problem.
"It's nothing. I just happened to think about them."
Nagasawa smiled.
Actually, he only wanted to confirm whether Edward Weevil—the so-called Whitebeard Jr.—had already become a Seven Warlord.
After Weevil became a Warlord, former Navy Admiral Zephyr would leave the Navy and eventually fall into darkness.
After all, Weevil was the one responsible for slaughtering many of Zephyr's students and severing one of his arms.
The murderer who had killed his students and cut off his arm ultimately becoming his own "ally" completely shattered the justice in the heart of the former Admiral known as "Black Arm" Zephyr.
His trust in the Navy collapsed, eventually driving him down an extreme path.
Nagasawa hadn't come to the world of One Piece for any grand purpose.
He simply wanted to collect some powerful Devil Fruits, do whatever he wanted, and enjoy life a little.
He had spent so many years struggling in the Naruto world, constantly remaining cautious because of the existence of the Otsutsuki from the stars.
Now that he was in another world, it was finally time to relax.
"As an Admiral, shouldn't I occasionally go out and eliminate some threats for the people?"
Nagasawa smiled.
"Just remember to beat them secretly. Don't let anyone find out. Those World Government officials are really annoying."
Garp once again assumed Nagasawa intended to go beat up the Seven Warlords.
After finishing tea, Nagasawa finally started handling actual business.
First, he used the Navy's intelligence network to investigate Whitebeard Jr.'s current situation.
Although Whitebeard hadn't died, Miss Bakkin had still emerged with her somewhat slow-looking son.
However, she hadn't appeared as early or as aggressively as in the original story.
After all, there were no remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates for them to hunt down in this timeline.
She publicly claimed that her child was born from her relationship with Whitebeard, had inherited Whitebeard's strength, and had already surpassed the aging Whitebeard.
She declared that her son would one day become one of the Four Emperors, all while aggressively recruiting subordinates and absorbing many powerful pirates who had escaped from prison.
Whether anyone believed her didn't matter.
Bakkin stubbornly insisted that the child was Whitebeard's son.
Perhaps because she hadn't yet caused any major incidents, or perhaps because Whitebeard was busy dealing with Kaido, the Whitebeard Pirates had made no response.
Whether Weevil truly was Whitebeard's son or merely someone created using Whitebeard's lineage factor could be ignored for the moment.
The strength he displayed was genuinely formidable.
If Nagasawa's guess was correct, Bakkin's next move would be getting Weevil accepted as a Seven Warlord.
In the New World, one had to belong to one of the three great powers: the Four Emperors, the Seven Warlords, or the Navy.
Otherwise, surviving wasn't easy.
Now was the perfect opportunity to kill him before he became a Warlord and caused trouble later.
Of course, even if he did become a Seven Warlord, Nagasawa had plenty of ways to eliminate him.
After all, his real profession was still a ninja.
Being a Navy Admiral was only his side job.
And wasn't assassination one of a ninja's specialties?
Nagasawa instructed the Navy intelligence officers that if any new information regarding Whitebeard Jr. appeared, they were to notify him immediately.
Unlike the Naruto world, where he could simply travel to the Land of Rain to find the Akatsuki, searching for a pirate in the One Piece world alone was nearly impossible.
Afterward, Nagasawa sought out Sengoku and Garp to ask whether they could contact Zephyr.
Nagasawa considered himself a kind person.
If given the chance, he wanted Zephyr to personally take revenge.
"We can contact him, but he's not at Headquarters right now. Why are you asking?" Sengoku asked curiously.
Ever since his students were killed, Zephyr had stopped serving as an instructor at Navy Headquarters.
Instead, he had undergone modifications, replaced one arm with a Seastone prosthetic, formed the Neo Marines, and devoted himself to hunting pirates.
During the Summit War, he had been away hunting pirates and therefore hadn't participated.
Otherwise, Sengoku certainly wouldn't have ignored such an important combat asset.
"I've heard about Senior Zephyr for a long time."
"I've heard he trained countless elite marines—even the former Three Admirals were his outstanding students—so I've always been curious about what kind of person he is."
Nagasawa smiled.
"He's a very good man."
"He devoted his entire life to the Navy."
Garp fell into nostalgic memories.
Zephyr belonged to the same generation as he did.
"Come to think of it, Zephyr has been away for quite a while."
"I'll ask him when he's planning to return today."
"I'll also tell him about you."
Sengoku smiled.
Nagasawa nodded.
...
Unlike the main body, who spent his days slacking off, drinking tea, eating snacks, and admiring his beautiful subordinate, the Shadow Clone searching for the Revolutionary Army headquarters had a much tougher time.
Although he knew the island's name, he had no idea where it was.
And that certainly wasn't information one could casually obtain.
Thus, the Shadow Clone headed to the Sabaody Archipelago, intending to seek out Shakky, who had demonstrated excellent intelligence-gathering abilities in the original story.
The Sabaody Archipelago was one of the most unique islands in the One Piece world.
The islands were formed from enormous trees, the ground consisted of tree roots, and bubbles constantly floated up from the surface, giving the place a fairy-tale atmosphere.
Unfortunately, despite its beautiful scenery, Sabaody itself was anything but a fairy tale.
It housed human trafficking shops, slave auctions, and, incidentally, was ruled by the Celestial Dragons.
It was also where Luffy had punched a Celestial Dragon.
Although Nagasawa also wanted to beat up—or even kill—a foolish Celestial Dragon, he decided it was more important to contact the Revolutionary Army first.
Following his memories, he arrived at Grove 13 and found a bar called Shakky's Rip-Off Bar.
To be honest, Nagasawa was curious.
Would anyone who didn't already know the place really walk into a bar literally named Rip-Off Bar?
Weren't they afraid of being ripped off?
When he entered, there were no customers inside.
Only Shakky herself.
"What would you like to order, customer?"
Shakky glanced at Nagasawa and asked casually.
Nagasawa had used the Transformation Jutsu.
Instead of his own appearance, he had taken on the appearance of the Second Hokage, Tobirama.
After all, walking around with an Admiral's face was a bit too conspicuous.
"A beer."
"I've heard you have plenty of information."
He ordered a beer first before smiling.
Shakky chuckled softly as she set a mug before him.
"Who told you that?"
"Why not ask that person for information instead?"
"I heard it from Rayleigh."
Nagasawa smiled mysteriously.
Shakky froze.
She hadn't expected to hear Rayleigh's name from this unfamiliar white-haired man.
However, as Rayleigh's longtime friend, she knew him extremely well.
If Rayleigh had really introduced someone to her, he certainly would have informed her first.
"Where did you hear that name?"
Her gaze suddenly became intimidating.
"The Dark King Rayleigh is the Pirate King's right-hand man, famous throughout the seas."
"It's hardly strange that I know him."
Nagasawa calmly drank his beer.
Shakky remained silent.
Many people knew Rayleigh.
Very few knew his current whereabouts.
This man had clearly come prepared.
She decided to stop beating around the bush.
"Who are you?"
"What do you want?"
Even with Rayleigh absent, Shakky herself wasn't someone easy to deal with.
"I already said so from the beginning."
"I'm here to gather information."
"I want to establish contact with the Revolutionary Army."
"Do you have a way?"
Nagasawa smiled.
Watching other people speak in riddles was irritating.
But being the one speaking in riddles...
It was actually rather enjoyable.
"The Revolutionary Army..."
Shakky frowned.
Those three words were taboo in this world.
Compared to pirates, the World Government feared Dragon and the Revolutionary Army far more.
"I do have information."
"But information from me comes at a very high price."
Shakky returned to her usual smile.
"Oh, and by the way..."
"The beer you're drinking costs ten million Berries."
Nagasawa nearly sprayed the beer across the room.
Ten million Berries for a single mug of beer?
That was truly ruthless.
"I don't have any money."
"Not a single Berry!"
Nagasawa declared confidently before draining the rest of the beer in one gulp.
"So, young man..."
"Are you planning to dine and dash?"
Shakky's expression turned unfriendly.
"It's not that I want to."
"It's that I genuinely don't have even a single Berry."
Nagasawa spread his hands.
Not only did he have none...
Even his main body hadn't received his Navy salary yet.
"So after all that, you're still just refusing to pay."
Shakky replied.
She had encountered plenty of pirates who tried to eat and drink without paying.
Since she dared to name her establishment Rip-Off Bar, she naturally had the confidence to squeeze every last Berry out of freeloaders.
This time, however, she was likely to fail.
Because Nagasawa genuinely didn't have a single Berry on him.
