A Note to My Readers

Dear readers,

After a great deal of thought, I have made the decision to remove this novel from publication, and I wanted to take the time to explain why, rather than simply letting it disappear without a word.

This story has been part of my life for four years. That is a long time by any measure — long enough to grow attached to these characters, to this world, and most of all, to the community that formed around it. I want to begin by saying thank you. Thank you for reading, for commenting, for theorizing, for catching details I missed, and for sticking with this story through its highs and lows. Four years of your time and attention is not something I take lightly, and I am genuinely grateful for it.

That said, I have to be honest about why I'm taking this step. Over the course of writing this novel, a number of inconsistencies accumulated — contradictions in details, timeline issues, and a few structural loopholes that, frankly, ended up undermining the integrity of the book's layout and the natural development of the story. I've tried to work around these issues in the past, but I've come to realize that patching them further would only weaken the story more, not strengthen it. The foundation needs to be rebuilt, not repaired.

So, here is where things stand: I intend to rewrite this novel in its entirety, from the ground up. This won't be a simple edit or revision — it will be a full reconstruction, with the benefit of everything I've learned over these past four years about plotting, pacing, and consistency. I want to give this story the structure and care it deserves.

What I cannot offer you right now is a timeline. I don't want to give you a date only to miss it, so I'd rather be upfront: I don't know exactly when the rewrite will be ready. What I can promise is that this is not a final goodbye to the story — it's a pause, taken so that I can return and do it justice.

In the meantime, I don't want to leave you with nothing. If you're looking for something to read while you wait, I'd genuinely encourage you to check out my other novel, Hell Land. It's a story I'm proud of, and I think it will be a worthwhile way to spend your time until I return with a stronger, more polished version of this one.

Thank you again, sincerely, for four wonderful years. I hope to see you again soon, on the other side of this rewrite.

With gratitude and hope,

EternalBalance

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why are you deleting the novel instead of just editing it?

A: The inconsistencies and plot loopholes go deep enough that they affect the overall layout and structure of the story, not just individual chapters. At this point, a patch-up edit would take nearly as much effort as a rewrite, without giving the story the clean foundation it needs. A full rewrite lets me fix things properly.

Q: Will the story stay the same in the rewrite, or will it change?

A: The core idea, characters, and world will remain at the heart of it, but expect changes in structure, pacing, and certain plot details as I correct the inconsistencies. Think of it as the same soul in a stronger body.

Q: Do you have a release date for the rewrite?

A: Not yet, and I don't want to promise one I might not keep. I'd rather take the time needed to get it right than rush it out on a deadline.

Q: Is Hell Land connected to this novel?

A: No, Hell Land is a completely separate story with its own world and characters. It isn't tied to this novel in any way — it's simply something I'd recommend if you're looking for a good read in the meantime.

Q: Will you post updates on the rewrite's progress?

A: Yes. I'll aim to share weekly updates on my progress, whenever possible, so you're not left completely in the dark while I work on it.

Q: Can I still access the old version somewhere?

A: The version on this platform will not be available once it's taken down. However, older versions may still be found on my social media accounts for those who'd like to revisit them.
