It was still in the night. The others had already fallen asleep. Tiamat could not even dream of sleeping. She went to find Rex.
She knew exactly where he should be but deciding it was better to look around rather than just immediately going to see him would be nice.
She saw the stalls open still with price tags on the stuff. She also saw jars that contained storage rings in them.
"A little lady like you does not need to be alone at this time of night." Tiamat heard the voice from the right but turned her head immediately to the left.
"Good perception. Now then, do you have a storage ring missy or are you just looking?"
"Looking. I won't steal."
"Stealing glances at the storage rings or at the items?"
"I did not know what the jar was used for. Since I take it that they are used for night buyers. I will not take any of the rings. I will steal glances at the items."
"Fair enough." A little cat walked out and stretched it's legs.
"I am someone who has enjoyed too many sightseers and too many thefts to allow someone as powerful as you walk around alone. Don't mind me and just be natural."
Tiamat felt a headache in one of her heads. She knew which one it was but decided to keep calm for now. If another one built up, she knew immediately what to do.
She continued looking at the stalls for anything that looked remotely decent. She did pick up several necklaces that were slightly golden with several rings around the center.
The rings were different colors and she was trying to decide which one she felt was best. After getting it down to five necklaces, she decided to ask the cat for something.
"I take it that you either hold stuff for people or allow the owners to know who all bought what. I want these five necklaces but I have to talk to the Demon King for payment."
The cat was interested in her until she mentioned Rex. The cat decided to see how much of a debt would have to be paid. Seeing that those were honestly the ones the owner had just dropped because no one even looked at them. The cat decided to do something bad.
"For each necklace you want, the Demon King either has to work for one week or give something that is worth one week of work."
Tiamat shuddered at the thought. Having Rex work for the necklaces was a no go. The cat was certain that the woman was lying and that is why the cat mentioned it.
"If you prove in the morning, that the Demon King is friendly with you. I will ensure that any necklace you want is given to you. If not, then the deal is still there."
Tiamat was dumbfounded because they were free but having to ensure that Rex allows her to be close to him was something else.
"I know he is enjoying Aina right now. I will not ask that you interrupt this special night. Be sure to be here before nightfall tomorrow."
The cat disappeared. Tiamat was so concerned about this deal truly going through that she decided to just visit Rex anyways.
She would take the consequences with Aina in the Godly Realm. She got close to the room and felt a glare from behind it.
She still knocked on the door. Aina covered up in a blanket opened the door. Aina told Tiamat to sit on the floor.
Tiamat sat down in front of the bed. Rex completely naked and Aina still covered up with the blanket.
"What brings you here during this night?" Rex was not happy when speaking.
"I heard that you and Aina were pretty close and wanted to see how close myself at first. I decided to check out the stalls by myself before coming here.
A cat talked to me and made me a deal for some necklaces. Either I prove that you and I have a relationship and I get them for free or you have to work for them one week a piece and I liked five of them."
Rex felt his eyebrows twitch and Aina was angered. She did not know what to do with Tiamat.
"Aina, I know this was supposed to be a special night for you. So let me make it up to you first. Will you allow me?"
Aina knew that Tiamat could do a lot for her and maybe the night being bad now could be replaced with something much better.
"Fire away." Aina said annoyed.
"The others decided to allow me to become a Soul Mate to Rex. The ending you saw is an ending that will more than likely happen anyways with me. However, I will take you with us when that happens.
Even during my special night, if you want to interrupt us. We will not be angry because I have done this to you. What do you think?"
Aina blinked several times before nodding in agreement.
"Alright. Now when will we see this stall owner?" Rex asked.
"By tomorrow nightfall."
Rex decided to see why the owner would do such a thing at lunch tomorrow but dealing with a happier Aina and a extremely happy dragon was now what Rex had to deal with until morning.
