The Demon King of Will watched as the next day went faster for Rex using his Demon King of Desire hoping to quicken the effects of his Quest.
At the end of that day, Rex only had to make fifty more places to live. The Demon King of Will decided to enter the Stairway and see what the Conscious had been doing.
His first steps into it was shocking. Memories of the fighting against the Jeweled Eye Fighter came back hard. It was technically fine for now but he knew that it would become worse the deeper he went in.
"For a man whom helped himself when the fight against Faerie Eater and helped himself against the Jeweled Eye Fighter one hundred years later. You truly have a lot of memories piled up." The Stairway Conscious spoke walking towards the Demon King of Will.
"Been a while Sissy." The Demon King of Will laughed.
One could tell that the Stairway Conscious was angered by that but she did not make any excuse for a fight to happen currently.
"Well, if we are going by our former names I guess I should say Rex to you as well." The Stairway Conscious spoke.
The Demon King of Will did not laugh nor think of any evil when his name was casually spoken. Deep down, both of them were fighting for a chance to completely slap the other.
Instead the Demon King of Will sat down on a chair that seemed to appear out of thin air and looked at her.
She too got a chair that seemed to appear out of thin air and looked at him. She was curious as to why he was here anyways.
"You know, I believe I said years ago that we could not defeat the Jeweled Eye Fighter without consequences. I also believe I said that the Demon King of Annihilation would also be our saving grace." The Demon King of Will spoke.
The Stairway Conscious seemed curious about what was being spoken right now. She decided to allow them trio gods to hear about it.
"I want you to realize this about the Jeweled Eye Fighter. Even with the Demon King of Annihilation we will still lose no matter what."
The Demon King of Will let that sit in. He was wanting to see what she would say or if she was trying to be whatever by it.
"I believe that we have a chance don't we?" She asked.
"We do but it will take a sacrifice. Who will be that sacrifice?" The Demon King of Will decided to let the words go.
The Stairway Conscious knew who would be the sacrifice but did not want to say anything about it.
"So, tell me, who should be the sacrifice that we have to use? A normal cultivator cannot slow it down by three seconds at max. Even if we were to use the former Judges from the Judge Tower they would slow it down at max by five seconds a piece which would give enough time for three killing blows by Rex.
We all know what would happen if the killing blows did not shatter the rubies." The Demon King of Will spoke.
The Stairway hoped that anything else could happen but sacrificing a lot of people. Even thinking about those in the sealed jails in the Fifth Heavenly Realm. She could not even think of the consequences of using such people.
The Stairway Conscious decided what to do. She hated thinking like this but knew the end of this would be the most beneficial.
"Unseal the jails in the Fifth Heavenly Realm only when Rex is appearing in the Fourth Heavenly Realm.
This should not have happened either way but I believe the best course of action is to use the people whom we could never control to begin with.
I hereby declare that when the prisoners are broken free. If any of them are not used to kill the Jeweled Eye Fighter, they can live a life within the arena where they will try to fight for their position rather than the place they will live in." The Stairway Conscious decided.
The Demon King of Will knew that it would most likely fail but a small chance of success is better than a zero as of right now.
