Chapter 1 - Transmigration

Son of luck.

For those who knew Tang Yuze, this was the only description fitting enough for him.

Gifted with intelligence and an exceptional sensitivity to numbers since childhood, he completed his studies at the age of seventeen, joined the Tang Group at eighteen, and became its absolute authority by twenty-four.

If the world were a novel, then Tang Yuze would undoubtedly be the protagonist blessed with both brains and beauty from birth. Wealth was merely the icing on the cake.

But what was this so-called protagonist doing now?

He sat in his office, staring blankly at a potted plant.

The world described Tang Yuze as a legend, but only he himself knew the truth — he truly was as lucky as a protagonist.

He had achieved everything others could only dream of, yet he felt detached from the world. Everything was unbearably boring to him. Nothing interested him anymore. His life had long since become black and white.

Tang Yuze knew clearly what kind of person he was.

Emotionless. Unscrupulous.

Shameless. His competitors might want to add as one more compliment.

He lacked empathy entirely.

In just five years after taking control of the Tang Group, he had pushed it to the very top. Yet even now, at the age of twenty-nine, he had never once experienced emotional entanglements. Not that he even wants to .

Still, he had been unusually excited these past few days.

Unfortunately, that excitement had just died down.

Why?

No one knew his true secret.

Attached to him was a mysterious space — one that not only produced legendary spiritual spring water, but was also unimaginably vast.Though most of it could not be explored as though foggy walls block his path.

Recently, he had begun having recurring dreams.

Every night, he saw distorted and blurry faces surrounding him from a first-person perspective. Their voices were unclear, their appearances vague, yet the dreams repeated endlessly. He could at most discern it was so.e ancient era.

And so, Tang Yuze began collecting supplies with great enthusiasm.

Large amounts of food and daily necessities had already been stored inside his space. He had even begun collecting currency from ancient eras.

Unfortunately, a collector had directly refused to sell him his prized collection.

Tang Yuze was extremely displeased.

Just as he sat there in a daze, his vision suddenly darkened.

There was no fear on his face.

Only excitement.

Excitement for a brand-new life.

"I hope it's challenging," he muttered.

"Eldest! Go get some water !"

A woman's shrill voice rang out loudly.

When Tang Yuze opened his eyes, what greeted him were dilapidated mud walls.

His eyelids felt unbearably heavy, as though weighed down by a thousand jin, but slowly, his vision regained clarity.

At the same time, fragmented memories surged through his mind like violent storms, nearly throwing his consciousness into chaos.

But who was Tang Yuze?

No matter the situation, he always regained control quickly.

Soon, he sorted through the unfamiliar memories calmly.

'Tang Yuze.'

That was the name of this body's owner — a fourteen-year-old boy.

This Tang Yuze was excellent in his studies and diligent in helping his family with farm work and household chores. Although his weak physical condition limited him, he still did everything within his abilities, and often even more.

'This Tangjia Village is quite an interesting place,' he thought.

The Tang family was a large household.

Father — Tang Yanbo.

Mother — Jiang Rongning.

Together, they had four sons and two daughters.

The eldest son was Tang Yuan.

The second son was Tang Mo.

The third child and eldest daughter was Tang Dani.

The fourth child was Tang Erya.

The fifth child was Tang Mu.

And finally, the youngest child of the family — Tang Yuze.

Just from the names given to boys and girls in the family , he could tell , quite a patriarchial family this is.

Only Tang Erya, Tang Mu, and Tang Yuze remained unmarried.

As he organized the information in his mind, he discovered something even more surprising.

This place belonged to a dynasty unknown in his original world.

The Yuanji Dynasty.

Tang Yuze muttered the unfamiliar name softly.

Just then, Mother Tang entered carrying a bowl filled with some unrecognizable soup.

Black lines instantly appeared across Tang Yuze's forehead.

He, Tang Yuze — who had lived a life of extreme luxury — was now expected to drink this thing?

His stomach churned in disgust.

Having memories did not mean having experience.

Young Master Tang, who later became Master Tang, had never once experienced poverty, hunger, or filth. Now, he looked exactly like a narcissistic young master thrown helplessly into the wilderness.

"I'll drink it later," he said calmly.

He had no intention of becoming someone else simply because he occupied this body. Nor did he feel any affection toward this family or anyone related to this body.

Who said that arriving here meant he had to take responsibility for them?

Still, Mother Tang was extremely sensitive to her children's emotions.

She could immediately tell that her youngest son seemed different today, though she could not pinpoint exactly how.

"Youngest, don't worry about the family," she said gently. "We may be poor, but we can still afford to let you study. Just focus on recovering your health."

She habitually comforted her frail youngest child, believing he had once again become anxious over his studies and the family's poverty.

Tang Yuze lacked empathy, but that did not mean he lacked intelligence or emotional awareness.

Not wanting to become someone else did not mean he would foolishly expose himself before understanding his situation.

When Mother Tang finally left the room, he silently lay back down and closed his eyes.

His current surroundings disgusted him to the extreme

.

Dirty house.

Dirty body.

Fortunately, everyone else was busy working in the fields, leaving him alone after few members remaining left for the fields.

That gave him ample freedom to move.

Slowly, he got out of bed and staggered toward the door, locking it from the inside.

Then, with a single thought, he disappeared from the room.

When he opened his eyes again, he stood inside a vast world.

As far as the eye could see, there was endless greenery and flowing water, yet strangely, the entire place felt lifeless.

Walking slowly toward a small pavilion, Tang Yuze sat down while panting heavily.

This body was truly weak.

Following familiar instincts, he approached a small spring pool and crouched beside it.

Then he gulped down a large mouthful of water.

The next instant, unimaginable pain exploded throughout his body.

It felt as though every limb was being torn apart before being twisted into horrifying angles.

Tang Yuze clenched his teeth tightly, struggling to remain conscious, but his eyelids gradually became heavier and heavier.

Finally—

It was as though invisible shackles had broken apart completely.

A refreshing sensation spread throughout his body.Athough he didn't felt like superhuman , his hidden ailments and defects were indeed cured.

However, before he could enjoy it, a disgusting stench assaulted his nose so fiercely that he nearly vomited.

Without hesitation, he rushed toward the nearby house to bathe.

Fortunately, the space contained a small wooden house with everything necessary for basic living.

After scrubbing himself repeatedly, Tang Yuze finally stepped out feeling somewhat human again.

Then he looked down at the clothes available inside the house and fell silent.

Could he wear modern clothing outside?

Of course not.

Unless he wished to be drowned in a river or burned alive as an evil spirit.

For now, he reluctantly put his modern clothes aside and washed the tattered rags belonging to this body thoroughly before hanging them out to dry.

Afterward, he happily ate and drank his fill inside the space.

Only then did he finally leave.

The moment he returned outside, however, he received a huge surprise.

The sun was still shining brightly overhead.

Not much time had passed at all.

Tang Yuze narrowed his eyes slightly.

It seemed the time ratio within his space had upgraded once again.
