Sean remained still for a long moment, his eyes fixed on the direction Clyde and Mina had disappeared into. The silence between him and Connor stretched with heavy uncertainty.
"We should hunt them," Connor was the first to speak to break the silence. He said. "Now. While they're still weak."
Sean didn't respond immediately. His gaze remained forward, his mind replaying everything he had just witnessed.
"Are they?" he finally said.
Connor glanced at him.
Sean shook his head slightly. "I'm not sure they're weak at all. If anything… they'll be more alert now. After that fight, they'll expect someone to come after them."
He paused for a moment, his expression tightening.
"And that man… the Apex…" he continued. "Did he look weak to you?"
Connor said nothing. Because he had seen it too.
Clyde standing there, surrounded by lightning and that strange burning energy. The way he moved. The way he ended the fight without hesitation.
There had been no sign of weakness in him.
