Despite the exam having ended almost an hour ago, there were still many people pouring out of the stadium gates. The crowd had thinned from its peak, but clusters of students and visiting family still remained outside, chatting excitedly about the exam, school life, and many other small details. The sky had deepened to a pale orange, long shadows stretching across the stone.
Standing near a pillar off to the side, Lilia was staring at her phone while grumbling to herself.
"Uh, what do you mean the transfer station is experiencing technical difficulties? Don't they know I have places to be."
She tapped the screen again, hoping it would fix but nothing changed. With a defeated sigh, she shoved the device into her pocket and looked up. She would have to transfer to a little further from home and take a taxi back if it doesn't fix by the time she's ready to leave.
