After the commander finished summarizing the novel, the queen, her children, and the commander flew toward Argentina. As they crossed the Indian Ocean, they admired the landscapes of the Pitcairn Islands, Easter Island, and French Polynesia, while the vast continent of South America appeared before them.
During the journey, the commander gave his queen a new name and began calling her "Cold Queen." He said to her:
"My lady, Queen Cold, I have learned from the novel Flowers that the family once lived in a spacious house and now lives in a narrow one. That was in the middle of the story. But you… you once lived in a house as narrow as a mouth, and later visited a home as vast as a stadium."
"Look," he continued, "there is the country of Chile beneath us."
The queen and the commander circled above the land before finally descending toward the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires.
When the queen reached the main street, she was stunned by the sight before her. It felt as though all the bees of the world had invaded the city. The commander stood beside her and said:
"Indeed, madam, it is as though a torrent of cold water is boiling. These people have become like bees gathered into one enormous hive. Nearly three million souls."
Above the flood of fans chanting "Messi! Messi! Bring us the World Cup!" hovered the shadow of the great commanding bee.
The Cold Queen began thinking about remaining in this beautiful place near the National Library. She asked the leader to give her advice and perhaps bring her a story, an anecdote, or a novel by an Argentine writer.
The Cold Queen then asked her commander to read more books and bring her stories to enjoy before they traveled to the highest peak in Argentina, the Tinguiririca Volcano. Yet despite everything, the Cold Queen insisted on seeing that distant place.
The leader entered the National Library and found a blue bee surrounded by books. He asked her for a story written by an Argentine author.
He told the blue bee about his journey with the Cold Queen and admitted that his story was long. He promised that if he returned to the library again, he would complete the entire tale for her.
When the blue bee learned that he had come from the host country of the 2022 World Cup, she read to him the story The Florist Who Led His Team to the World Cup Final by the Argentine writer Luciano Pernici. The commander admired the novel deeply and thanked the blue bee.
The leader then flew to the roof of the National Library, where the queen was waiting impatiently for him.
He asked her:
"Are you ready?"
The Cold Queen replied:
"Yes. Does the story contain flowers?"
The leader smiled and answered:
"Yes… flowers and football."
The story spoke about a football player on the Netherlands national team who owned a flower shop. In 1978, the team summoned him to join the squad preparing for the eleventh FIFA World Cup.
Nanninga did not join the Dutch training camp immediately because he was busy preparing flowers for customers ahead of Mother's Day, and the Dutch newspapers accused him of neglecting his national duty.
But later, Nanninga joined the Netherlands team and helped them reach the final match against Argentina. He scored one goal in the final, yet Argentina ultimately won the World Cup.
