One and a half hours later, Diamond was in a children's shop with an excited Gracelynn. It was probably her first time entering such kind of shops. Perhaps, used to having her clothes delivered to the estate, the little girl's excitement was infectious.
Penny watched this scene with complicated eyes, but she couldn't do anything to stop it. Her daughter was happy and for the first time, was acting more like a child. Her happiness as a mother matters the most, and yet it seems that all the effort she had been putting all these years couldn't match that of a stranger.
Meanwhile, Diamond completely clueless to Penny's thoughts was simply happy shopping with Gracelynn. The little girl was obedient and quite wonderful to spend time with. She was unlike those unruly children who knew to cause trouble from morning to night.
Gracelynn made her quite eager to have her own child. Unfortunately, the time wasn't ripe yet. Just dating for a few months and have a child. Who was she kidding?
