The next few days became busy.
Very busy.
Golden Shine was no longer as quiet as before.
Fabric samples covered the main table. Sketches were pinned to the wall. Threads, measuring tapes, and unfinished pieces were scattered everywhere.
Grace stood in the middle of it all, holding a piece of soft blue fabric.
“Too light,” she murmured.
Amber looked up from the sewing machine. “You said that about the last three fabrics.”
Grace didn’t respond.
She walked to another table and picked up a darker shade.
“This one…”
Amber watched her carefully.
“You’re overthinking.”
Grace paused.
“I don’t want to make a mistake.”
Amber sighed.
“You won’t.”
Grace didn’t look convinced.
Lina quietly entered from the back with a box.
“These are the buttons you ordered,” she said softly.
Grace nodded. “Leave them there.”
Lina placed the box down carefully and stepped aside.
She had learned not to interrupt too much when Grace was working like this.
