On the second day after Old Wei and the others infiltrated the Imperial timeline, several countries, including Great Xia, officially announced their temporary joining of the Divine Beast Hall's United Army. The reason was simple: they could not allow the other side to attack them without retaliation. As for peace talks?
Great Xia did hope for them, but unfortunately, the Empire on the other side did not think the same way. They had skills they were proud of, at least, within the Empire timeline lacking Divine Beasts, they had combat power comparable to Divine Beasts, which made them not think they lacked the strength to fight against the Main World. Moreover, they possessed a very strong trump card; even if the Divine Beasts were powerful, they dared to fight against them.
