Erik frowned.
"Is there something here we don't know about?"
Hands on his hips, Homelander looked insufferably pleased with himself.
"Enough, you idiots! Don't think you understand me so well. What you've seen is nothing more than illusions carefully staged by aliens in advance!"
What made him even happier was that with this question, his score was finally balanced out—and now he was tied with Tony Stark!
Tony shook his head.
"This is insane. I swear this question is rigged."
As he finished speaking, the light-screen began to play the video explanation.
On screen, Homelander was once again watching the news—just like in the previous clip. This time, it was a live broadcast of Stormfront giving a speech.
Surrounded by fans and supporters, Stormfront was loudly denouncing Vought International and Homelander's inaction.
Clearly, she understood the game of power well. Having just joined the Seven, she seized her chance to expand her influence. And what better way for a newcomer to rise than by attacking a famous veteran—especially the former star of the team, Homelander himself?
Stormfront was enjoying herself, but Homelander, watching from home, was furious. His face turned pale when he saw online memes and parody edits mocking him.
One particular image completely broke him: the Seven's official group poster, where Homelander's face in the center had been replaced with Stormfront's.
That was the last straw. Homelander stormed off to confront Stormfront face-to-face.
He shouted:
"Who the hell do you think you are? You think I don't see through your little tricks? You're trying to use me as a stepping stone and steal MY team! Let me tell you, it won't work. I'm the leader of the Seven—not you! Polls show that my approval ratings are still higher in the key age demographics!"
Homelander then rattled off examples like a sulking child:
"Eighteen to thirty-four! Eighteen to forty-nine! Twenty-five to fifty-four! They all like me! Every! Single! One!"
Watching from outside the video, Tony burst out laughing.
"Okay, okay, I may have lost points, but honestly, Homelander, you've given me more entertainment than the answer itself. This isn't a total loss! Look at him—he knows his fan demographics down to the exact age brackets! The guy really does care about his fans!"
Natasha chuckled.
"You know what? He reminds me of kids in kindergarten, arguing over whether the teacher likes me more or you more. Homelander's logic really is… something else."
Homelander himself remained stone-faced, trying to convince himself he could endure any insult.
But in the video, his future self was clearly on the verge of breaking down—especially when Stormfront, in a mock-sympathetic tone, said:
"Congratulations. But the truth is, the fact that you constantly need praise and adoration is… a little pathetic. Still, I'm happy for you… YEAH~~"
That last sarcastic "Yeah" pushed him over the edge. His eyes turned blood-red as he slowly approached Stormfront, ready to "open fire" at the slightest provocation.
Sensing danger, Stormfront quickly softened her stance:
"Alright, alright, don't get mad. I went too far. I apologize. Listen—I just wanted to help you…"
She then pitched her populist tactics—stirring up public anger so she could ride the wave. Before long, her tone flipped entirely, and she began to cozy up to Homelander, suggesting that together, they'd be the perfect duo.
Watching, Erik shake his head.
"Tony's right. That woman is every bit as detestable."
Natasha added gravely:
"If you ask me, she's even more dangerous than Homelander."
Tony glanced at Homelander.
"And she's trying to drag him onto her path as well."
On screen, Homelander was visibly confused. He'd stormed in ready to accuse her, but now that she'd shifted gears, he couldn't tell what she was really plotting.
Frustrated, he inevitably retreated to his "happy little cabin" to seek comfort from Madelyn.
As always, "Madelyn" greeted him scantily dressed, with a glass of milk in hand, ready to fawn over him. But this time, Homelander was cold and dismissive, rejecting her advances.
Concerned, "Madelyn" asked gently:
"Are you alright? Do you want me to change into someone else? I can be anyone you want!"
"No," Homelander turned away, as if preparing to leave. "I don't need anyone. I only need myself…"
The moment he finished, "Madelyn" transformed—into him.
Homelander froze. The players watching outside the video froze.
Tony muttered in disbelief:
"Holy Hell… so that's how Homelander ends up hurting himself? Damn. I'll give it to you, Homelander—you're one ruthless bastard."
Bruce frowned.
"That fat guy shouldn't have tried to outsmart Homelander. He wanted to please him, but you can't project normal human logic onto a lunatic."
Natasha facepalmed.
"Honestly, I have zero interest in watching what comes next. I feel like it'll burn my eyes."
She was right. What followed was indeed unbearable to watch.
