Mnn...
The fine taste of Pizza, the smell, the feeling of the cheese melting in your mouth, and stretching as you chew.
"I take it they don't have Pizza where you're from?" Lawrence asked amused at my reaction and infatuation to this fine delicacy.
I didn't respond, merely shaking my head no I took another bite from the triangle slice of deliciousness, before giving of a soft moan as I closed my eyes savoring each chew.
"Mnnn...."
Linda giggled while Lawrence smirked.
"I guess not."
...
It was about 2 minutes, later, I ate the whole Pizza in one bite, "Oh man, you have no Idea how good this was. This food...Pizza was it? Amazing!"
"Lawrence and Linda was staring shocked at how much I was able to eat so quickly and with so much ease.
"Dear..." Linda trailed off shocked...
"I know honey," Lawrence said equally as shocked before smiling excitedly, "This is amazing! Child, so far, you have only been able to do what no humans do at the age of three."
I perked my head up, "Oh, you mean it's not normal for human's my age to eat a pizza like this?"
"I don't think it's normal for a normal adult to eat a Pizza that fast," Linda deadpanned at me, "much less a 3 year old child."
I raised my eyebrow, before shrugging and reached out to grab some more pizza, I frowned as I realized the Pizza was gone.
Damn...
That was some good Pizza too.
Lawrence chuckled, as he saw my reaction to the finished Pizza.
"You know...son?"
I simply shrugged,. Lawrence smiled unsure.
"Is that a yes?"
"Sure Dad, nothing wrong with having two Dads right?"
Lawrence smiled.me, I wasn't replacing a father, but adding a new one, I would never replace him, for so much he sacrificed for me in such little time, giving his life for my sake during the end of days, I am not even sure he's alive right now.
He ruffled my hair, "Well, you are right in that sense...son.." his expression shifted into a smirk.
"But the Pizza isn't the only thing we have to offer." I tilted my head at him curiously, "Oh?"
Dessert is something we have next." Lawrence said, "We have cookies n Cream, Butterscotch Ice scream cookie dough Ice cream...which ever one you desire..."
Linda smiled, "Cookies n Cream were always my favorite type of ice cream..."
Lawrence smiled at her, "That Ice-cream was a good one, but I'm more in favor of the butterscotch."
Linda made a face causing Lawrence to laugh, I actually cracked a small smile.
.....
"Oh man this is good!" I moaned in pleasure as the ice cream began to melt as I chew both it and the chocolate chunks in my mouth, unsurprisingly the cold had no effect on me because I was a Kryptonian, something I am extremely grateful for because I always hated the cold in my previous life.
"I know right?" Linda shoots a smug smirk to Lawrence who chuckles.
"Yeah dear he likes it...just wait until he tries Butterscotch."
Linda chuckled as well, before that chuckled turned into a painful groan as she bent over.
Something Lawrence and I clearly noticed and both were concerned.
"Linda...is something wrong?" Lawrence asked worriedly as he gently hugged her to his sides.
"I..." she winced, "I think my bag broke..."
"Lawrence's eyes widened in panic, "Oh dear...we need to get to the hospital quick."
"Child, follow me quickly."
Lawrence as quickly and carefully as he could with linda in his arms darted to the car with me hot on his tail.
Once we got to the car, I smiled at the familiarity of the car, while Lawrence fumbled for his keys and unlocked his door before opening it and getting in.
Following his lead I did the same before I closed the door.
"Get in the back seat, do you know how to buckle up?" I tilted my head with a confused expression before I gestured to the seat belt, Lawrence nodded.
I pulled onto the seat belt gently really, really gently, like it was about to break any second, and I pulled it to the buckle, it clicked.
"Stretch it. down." Lawrence said. I raised my eyebrow at him, but I did what was told." The seat belt tightened.
Lawrence nodded, before he took off.
Seeing the city for the first time was incredible you know, there was so much he recognized from the show and yet so much he didn't, this could easily be explained by the fact that not only was this a dc crossover universe but also this world was much older then the show's setting.
After a while , managed to get to the hospital and the both of us bolted into the hospital with Lawrence being extremely careful of Linda..
The receptionist recognized Linda there and smiled excitedly.
A couple of moments later we were swarmed by fans, each asking a dozen questions in a second.
But...Lawrence didn't care about that, all he cared about was his girl, which earned more respect from me.
"Linda, Bag broke, need help immediately!" Lawrence said hastily.
The receptionist's eyes darted to Linda noticing her state, her eyes widened, and within a moment's time they were found help and we were escorted to a room with Linda on a stretcher.
....
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!"
Lawrence winced as he felt his hands being crushed by the iron grip Linda had...
The nurses and doctors were all helping to pull the baby out, while I watched all of this with a curious expression.
"Honey everything is going to be fine..." He whispered soothingly.
"OH REALLY, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY AN PUSH A BABY OUT OF YOUR BUTT< AND TELL ME EVERYTHING IS FINE THEN!" She screamed angrily.
Lawrence smiled nervously, "Come on Linda, it's almost done..."
Linda shot him an angry almost animalistic look...Lawrence gulped, and decided he'd just shut up and wait patiently, good man.
....
A couple of moments later, a couple of long moments.
"GRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"
Suddely the sound of a babies cries were heard, Linda panted heavily, sweat dripped down on her face as she stared at what went on..
Meanwhile, I just stared wide-eyed at what just transpired, as I never truly seen a baby being birthed before, at least not like this.
His eyes looked over to the blood covered baby in the doctors hands who smiled gently at her...
"Please..." Linda panted, "Give me my baby..."
The doctor gives the baby to Linda, who looks at it and holds it gently like it's the most precious thing in the entire universe...
"She's the most beautiful baby I've ever seen..." Linda muttered softly,.
"She has both of our parts," Lawrence smiled softly, "have you thought of a name?"
Linda looked at the baby, before she looked at me, she smiled softly, "Come here child..."
I blinked in surprise, before I nodded and walked over, "What do you think we should name her?"
My mind flashed back to the show, I saw Candace all grown up, trying to bust her little brothers, but the scene that stood out the most was the Candace dressed in black fighting off a dozen robots like a bad-ass ; giving it her all in protecting her brothers.
I smiled softly. "How about Candace..."
Linda's eyes widened slightly, something both Lawrence and I noticed, "Is something wrong dear?" Lawrence asked worriedly.
Linda didn't answer, instead she began to smile beautifully at me. "I was about to give her the same name..."
She turned her gaze back to the child and smiled softly.
"Welcome to the family...Candace."
