Chapter 359 - 19

But I was also amused and bit heartbroken too by seeing the cruelty of these pirates. I had always known that the pirates were bad and though there were certain pirates who were good, but it was in the most minute scale possible.

And the reality was that these people were just savages, and the sea had allowed them to act any way they wanted. Pirates were bad and even the Government were bad. What a world to live in.

Meanwhile, the pirate's hand never reached the target. Blue scales spread across my forearms like polished armor as I partially transformed into Gyarados. My muscles visibly expanded, and before the pirate even realized what had happened, my fist crashed into his stomach.

The impact folded him in half before launching him clean across the deck, where he smashed through three stacked barrels.

And this was me without using even a named move.

"W-WHAT?!"

The laughter instantly stopped. At the same moment, three more pirates rushed toward Luffy with raised cutlasses.

"Hehe..."

Luffy grinned.

"Thunder Wave!"

Golden sparks burst from his fingertips before racing across the deck. The three pirates stiffened simultaneously, their muscles locking as electricity surged through their bodies.

"W-What's happening?!"

"I-I can't move!"

Before they could recover, Luffy's rubber arm stretched backward.

"Gomu Gomu no..."

His fist snapped forward like a cannonball.

"...Pistol!"

BAM!

All three pirates were blasted into the ship's railing in one clean strike. Everyone around were now looking at us with wide eyes. They couldn't believe their eyes. They had never seen something like this before.

"What the hell is this?"

"Is this the legendary Devil fruit? Am I seeing it for the first time?"

"Yes we are.."

"We need to run."

"No.. These are just two kids. Take them down and kill them. I heard that once you kill a devil fruit user, you might get the devil fruit and become like them."

"Really? Then let's go.."

"They are just kids."

A pair charged me from opposite sides. I ducked beneath the first sword swing before driving my scaled elbow into one pirate's ribs, spinning around to catch the second by the collar.

With Gyarados' strength flowing through my body, lifting a fully grown man felt almost effortless.

"Out of the way."

I hurled him straight into four more approaching pirates, sending the entire group tumbling across the deck in a tangled heap of limbs and weapons. Meanwhile, another pirate tried to sneak behind Luffy with a club.

"Luffy!"

"I know!"

Without even turning around, Luffy pointed one finger behind himself.

"Thunder Shock!"

A bolt of yellow lightning leaped from his fingertip and struck the pirate squarely in the chest.

"GYAAAAH!"

Smoke rose from the man's clothes as he collapsed face-first onto the deck. Within less than a minute, nearly a dozen Alvida Pirates were already sprawled unconscious across the merchant ship, while Luffy and I stood in the middle of the deck looking almost disappointed.

"...These guys are weak, I came here to get some meat," Luffy complained.

I glanced toward the upper deck where heavier footsteps had finally begun approaching.

"We will get some meat, that's for sure." I replied as I heard from the upper deck a single heavy footstep was approaching.

The heavy footsteps grew louder with every passing second, each impact making the wooden staircase creak beneath the tremendous weight descending from the upper deck. Every pirate who was still conscious immediately stepped aside, their frightened expressions transforming into ones of absolute relief.

"Captain Alvida!"

"Our captain's here!"

"Those brats are finished!"

The merchants huddled together in silence, while Luffy simply tilted his head curiously. A heartbeat later, an enormous woman emerged onto the main deck carrying a massive iron mace over one shoulder. Her pink dress stretched tightly around her bulky frame, and her furious eyes swept across the unconscious pirates scattered from one end of the ship to the other.

"...Who," she asked slowly, "is making this mess on my new ship?"

Her gaze finally landed on Luffy and me standing calmly in the middle of the deck. Then she noticed the groaning pirates surrounding us, the broken barrels, and the splintered railing. A thick vein bulged on her forehead as her grip around the mace tightened.

Luffy looked her up and down without the slightest hint of caution. Then, exactly as I feared he would, he spoke with complete sincerity.

"Huh? Who's this fat and ugly woman?"

Silence. Even the waves seemed to stop moving. Every pirate stared at Luffy with faces drained of all color. Several merchants slowly backed away, convinced they were about to witness something horrifying. As for Alvida...

"...Fat?"

Her left eye twitched violently.

"...Ugly?"

The iron mace groaned beneath the strength of her grip.

"DO YOU KNOW WHO THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN ON THE SEA IS, YOU LITTLE BRAT?!"

"...No," Luffy answered honestly. "And I don't wanna know either."

With a deafening roar, Alvida swung her gigantic iron mace downward with enough force to shatter the deck beneath it. The weapon screamed through the air toward Luffy's head, intending to crush him in a single strike.

"Hehe..."

Instead of panicking, Luffy grinned.

"Quick Attack!"

Yellow sparks danced around his feet for the briefest instant before his entire body blurred forward. The sudden burst of speed was so explosive that several nearby pirates lost sight of him completely. Before Alvida even realized he had moved, Luffy slammed shoulder-first into her stomach like a cannonball.

BOOM!

The impact knocked the enormous pirate captain completely off her feet. Her mace slipped from her hands as she stumbled backward across the deck, crashing through several crates before barely managing to regain her balance.

"W-What?!"

She looked up in disbelief.

"You're fast!"

"I know!" Luffy laughed proudly. "That's why I love Pikachu."

"What?" She didn't understand. Before she could recover, he was already moving again.

"Tail Whip!"

Since he remained in his human form, no yellow tail appeared behind him. Instead, he spun on one foot with incredible momentum before whipping his right leg across in a devastating roundhouse kick. The technique carried the same momentum and balance-breaking force as Pikachu's Tail Whip, adapted perfectly to Luffy's own body.

CRACK!

His heel connected squarely with Alvida's jaw.

The gigantic pirate captain was launched sideways like a boulder fired from a catapult. She smashed straight through the ship's railing before disappearing into the long distant ocean, like Team Rocket into the sky, only in this case it was the vast ocean.

For several long seconds, nobody moved. Every remaining Alvida Pirate stared at the empty hole in the railing, then slowly looked back toward the smiling boy wearing a straw hat.

Luffy dusted off his shorts as though he had merely kicked away an annoying barrel.

"Hehe... She wasn't very strong. Now where is my meat."

The remaining Alvida Pirates stood frozen in complete disbelief. Their captain had disappeared over the horizon after two attacks from a grinning teenager who looked more interested in lunch than fighting. Fear rapidly replaced the confidence on their faces as several quietly began stepping backward toward the opposite side of the deck.

"...Looks like it's my turn."

I dismissed Gyarados without hesitation. The blue scales covering my arms dissolved into countless particles before a different card materialized between my fingers. Golden light enveloped my body as I equipped Ceruledge. The comforting weight of twin ghostly flame blades settled into my hands, while a surge of speed and refined swordsmanship flooded every muscle. Blue fire quietly danced along the edges of the spectral swords without burning the wooden deck beneath my feet.

I prompted partial transformation again.

"W-What kind of Devil Fruit is that?!"

"Run!"

Before the first pirate could finish speaking, I was already moving. One moment I stood beside Luffy. The next, I had crossed half the deck in a blur of blue fire. I wasn't that fast, but for these low lives I was like a nightmare.

The flat of one spectral blade struck a pirate across the chest, sending him spinning unconscious into a stack of crates. I pivoted smoothly, driving the hilt of the second sword into another pirate's stomach before sweeping his legs from beneath him. Every movement flowed naturally into the next, elegant and efficient, requiring no named techniques whatsoever.

Panic spread through the remaining pirates. Some swung their sabers wildly, others tried to flee, but none of it mattered. My body moved faster. They could see me, but their bodies weren't good enough to keep up with the reaction.

The ghostly blades flashed again and again, always striking with precision instead of lethal force. Within barely a minute, the last pirate collapsed onto the deck beside his defeated comrades, leaving only groans echoing across the battered merchant ship.

Silence lasted only a heartbeat before thunderous cheers erupted from the rescued merchants. Several rushed toward us, thanking Luffy and me repeatedly, while others quickly searched every corner of the vessel to ensure no pirates remained hidden. Moments later, a loud shout came from behind several cargo crates.

"We found another one!"

Two merchants dragged out a trembling pink-haired boy who had been hiding with his hands raised above his head. They shoved him toward me before pointing accusing fingers at him.
