=LOCATION: Dungeon=
Orario, a city filled with adventurers that explores what lies beaneath.
Below the city, A place of monsters spawning and killing every adventurers sensed insode this complex dungeon.
A magnitude 7 struck both the clever labyrinth and the city above.
Major happening within the entire middle floors.
For the first time, these bedrocks floors destroyed. A single gust of force penetrated the labyrith floor 17th to 12th, what once one complex set of floors, holes and traps, turned into single "colossal mess".
Creating numerous web-like cracks and fissures covering the walls, from the 17th floor upto the 12th floor ceiling andthese floor turned single hallow darken room.
This new and yet impossibly long and terribly wide destroyed "single floor." Piles of ashes scattered with abnormal prints on top. Few ashes floating in air.
Created by a single being
Undocumented chaotic movement transpire in this new floor
Assorted living beings existing, encircling the floor.
From the miniscule to the humongous.
A singular existence to a various species hurdled altogether.
Both living and dead,
Present at the floor's edges, unmoving different dead masses serves as both cushion and cold floor to be stepped by the falling crowd.
Their abnormal prints are aggresively marching. Some covered in furs, nails as sharp as swords, most are born with scales tougher than armors.
Legs of every species running with bloodlust shown on their eyes dyed red.
*Cracks*
Tails aggresively whipping their grounds. Few species run in two legs. Most are running in four.
All are horror in sight by the innocent.
Doom incarnate, all following their destructive instinct encoded in their DNA, birthed by the dungeon womb being the walls.
*GROOOOAAAAR*
Rushing towards the center, categorized altogether as monsters. Bloodlusted and craving for destruction towards one.
*BOOM!!!*
And yet—
none reached the center.
Dying before they recognized their death.
*BOOM!*
Exploding crowds of scaly-wyverns mid-air.
*BOOM!!!*
Hard Amored and Silverbacks exploding in its path
*BOOM!!!*
Herbs of Minotaur pummeled to the ground in a blink's eye.
*BOOM!!!*
A massive infant dragon was thrown sideways hard enough to carve a trench into the ground before turning to ashes.
The figure responsible never stopped moving.
*BOOM!!!*
Destroying every monsters he sees both land and flying. Setting itself apart from the monsters.
Both earthquake and Weblike Fissures created by this man.
*DOOM!!!*
A stoic man that's 6'5 ft(196 cm) tall named Alex wearing his bloodied helmet
Gray eyes
A laurel-shaped tattoo circling his left eye.
*FZOOOM!!!*
His feet moves at speed even inconceivable to monsters faster than wind and keep moving faster.
Running in circle
*stmp*
*stmp*
His feet stomping every imps, killer ants and almirajs in his pathways.
*FZOOOOOM!!!*
His body became a blur.
One moment he was surrounded.
Then next—
He was behind a pack of monsters.
Then above them.
Then beneath them.
Every movement carried enough force to kill.
Fast.
Too fast.
His bloodied helmet barely remained upon his head as his body blurred between monsters.
A monster turned its head.
Too late.
*BOOM!!!*
Another beast looked upward.
Too late.
*BOOM!!!*
A wyvern attempted to dive.
Too late.
Alex had already passed a sea of monsters just to return back to the center instantaneously.
His mind was faster than his body.
His eyes measured distances.
His thoughts counted formations.
His brain calculated which monsters had already been eliminated and which would reach the cart next.
Every movement had purpose.
Every step was measured.
Every attack was efficient.
The Dungeon had created an army.
Alex was reducing it to numbers.
One batch to another batch.
BOOM!!!
Twenty-seven.
BAM!!!
Thirty-four.
His mind kept track of the monsters while his body continued moving.
There was no excitement on his face.
No fear.
Only concentration.
Until—
*STOMP*
The ground shook.
*STOMP*
Another fissure crawled across the stone.
*CRACK*
A nearby wall fractured.
*STOMP*
Several smaller monsters stumbled.
Something enormous foot emerged from the darkness.
At first, only its silhouette could be seen.
Then its shoulders.
Then its arms.
Then its head.
Seven meters.
Its skin was dark
A gigantic humanoid body covered in monstrous muscle.
Its proportions were almost human—
but everything about it had been exaggerated into something grotesque.
Massive arms.
Thick legs.
Long greasy hair.
A body capable of turning its own weight into a weapon.
Its head rose above the other monsters.
Its scarlet eyes locked onto the center.
To the cart.
The monster opened its mouth.
And the Dungeon seemed to become quieter.
*GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR!!!*
The roar swallowed the battlefield.
The air shook.
Dust jumped from the ground.
Monsters nearby staggered.
The sound alone carried enough pressure to make the lesser creatures retreat.
This was not another monster among the legion.
This was its king.
The Black Goliath.
A monster rex born from the seventeenth floor.
An existence that's equal to a Level Five adventurer.
Alex remembered from
And unlike the smaller creatures surrounding it—
it did not rush.
It walked forwards
*STOMP*
Every step carried the weight of a falling building.
*STOMP*
Every steps deepened the cracks.
*CRACK*
Its enormous hand flexed.
The joints of its fingers popped.
*STOMP*
The monster stared toward the cart.
Toward the unconscious adventurers.
*GRRRRRRRRRR!!*
Its red eyes narrowed.
It had chosen its target.
Alex remembered the Black Goliath from the show.
A kobold entered their king's path.
*BOOM!!!*
Gone by its feet.
*BOOM!!!*
A goblin died beneath the giant's feet.
The Black Goliath continued walking.
Then its jaw began to move.
Not naturally.
*Gkraaaaaak*
The muscles around its mouth expanded.
Magical energy gathered inside its throat.
*Gkraaaaaak*
The sound of stone grinding against stone came from its opening mouth.
opening wider.
And wider.
*Gkraaaaaak*
Wider still.
A jaw large enough to swallow carriages.
The monsters around it instinctively moved away.
Even they understood.
Something terrible was coming.
The Goliath's chest expanded.
Its throat bulged.
Its entire body tensed.
And then—
*——AAAAAOOO!!*
The Goliath's scream erupted.
launching magical energy.
*BOOM!*
The air exploded.
A sonic boom tore across the battlefield.
The ground shattered beneath it.
~~~~~~~aaaooo* *BOOM!!!*
Stone lifted from the floor and became airborne debris.
Monsters caught in its path were violently thrown backward.
Some ruptured internally.
*BWOOSH!* *POP*
Other monsters were crushed beneath the pressure.
~~~~~~~OOOOII!!*
The sonic wave continued toward the center.
Toward Alex.
Toward the cart.
*FWOOOOOOOOSH!!!*
The destructive wave approached.
The unconscious adventurers had nowhere to move.
There was no time to escape.
No time to defend.
The scream arrived—
*BOOM!!!*
The ground disappeared beneath the impact.
Dust erupted.
Stone exploded.
The cart vanished beneath the destruction.
Blood followed.
Bodies scattered.
The unconscious adventurers died without ever waking up.
Or it should have been, Except—
*SHING!!!*
A gigantic mirror stood between them.
Five meters of reflective surface.
A wooden frame.
The sonic wave struck its surface.
The mirror trembled.
Its frame screamed beneath the pressure.
*KRRRRRRRRR*
The wave bent around it.
For a brief moment—
the mirror held.
Behind it, the unconscious adventurers remained alive.
The wooden wand.
The large green supporter bag.
The injured members of the group.
The bodies wrapped in bandages.
Even the dismembered limbs belonging to several unconscious women remained protected beneath the ruined cart.
Alex had deliberately positioned the mirror during the instant the Goliath began its scream.
His decision had been correct.
*KRASHH*
The gigantic mirror destroyed due to the Goliath' might, being obsolete.
Countless shards starts falling to the ground, several struck Alex's back.
Argh!!
For the first time, Alex halted plastered with pained expression. Overestimating his own defense.
His right hand that was holding the huge broken mirror.
*drip* *drip*
Pain.
Both hands covering his bleeding ears.
*EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE—*
His hearing vanished.
Not silence.
Something worse.
A piercing ringing consumed everything.
His balance disappeared.
His knees weakened.
*thud*
Alex's left hand dropped to the floor acting as the third leg as his left knee dropped
Still covering his right ear in pain.
Frozen in place
Feeling the heat along with extreme pain.
The monsters noticed.
Every surviving creature noticed.
Hellhounds lifted their heads.
Orcs raised their clubs.
Imps and Goblins began moving excitedly.
Wyverns circled overhead.
And then—
the Dungeon's hell spawns celebrate
*Fhsssssshhh~*
Surviving Hellhounds howls along with spitting long line of flames.
*BUGGIII…ooOOOHHHH…!*
Drove of Orcs bashing their clubs.
*HYAAAAAAA!!*
Crew of Imps and goblins jump wildly.
*KYAAAAAAAAAA—!!*
Colony of Bad Bats screeches
Clutch of wyverns bellowing.
*CRACK!* *CRACK!*
Every surviving tailed monsters repeatedly crashed their rocks.
*Agwooooo~~*
And even Black Goliath raised its head.
The entire floor erupted into sound.
They won.
The Dungeon had given them a target.
Their prey had finally fallen.
The Dungeon answered their celebration.
*drop*
*drop*
*drop*
*drop*
*drop*
*drop*
*drop*
New monsters emerged from the walls.
The Dungeon spawns again.
Its children were being replaced almost as quickly as they died.
*GRRRRRRRRRR!!!* *SCREEEEEEE*
Frog shooters
Dungeon Lizards
Needle Rabbits
Almiraj
Hard Armoreds
Imps
Goblins
Orcs
Crystal Mantis
*GYAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!*
Silverbacks crowds yearns for battle
*FSSSSSS*
Packs of Hellhounds spewing flames.
*UWOOOOOHHHHHHH!!*
Herd of Minotaurs,
Streaks of Ligerfangs,
Flock of Jack Birds,
Bands of War shadows,
Dens of Lamia Mormos,
Clew of Dungeon Worms,
*Jigigigigigigi!!*
Swarms of killer ants crawling fourth.
*UUUUUUUUU*
Pack of Kobolds both new and the old batches howl in unisons.
*SCREEEEEEECHHH*
New wings soar high. Every wyverns, purple moths and blue papilios soars mid-air.
*—oooOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!*
Broods of Infant Dragons preparing for another attack.
The Dungeon was replacing everything Alex had destroyed.
The Hundreds became tens of thousands
The legion continued growing.
The Dungeon continued birthing.
It did not care how many had died.
It could simply make more.
The monsters formed a circle around Alex.
The center was once again surrounded.
The Goliath remained behind its' legion.
The king.
The strongest among them.
Yet—
Something else was moving.
Not among the legion.
Above it.
In the darkness.
On the remains of what had once been the eleventh floor.
Waiting for the right moment.
*Shunk!*
A four legs of dark razor-tipped claws sunk in the ceiling of dungeon's 11th ceiling.
Bony six-finger legs and each ending in razor-sharp claws.
The same claws clinging the dark creature to the ceiling.
*Shunk!*
Its four-meter tail with bladed tip sliced rocks like paper.
Disproportionally large head, bigger than the rest of its body.
*Grrrrr*
It moved with precision.
Not with the heavy movements of the Goliath.
Not with the chaotic movements of the legion.
One limb.
Then another.
*BAM*
It disappeared from one section of ceiling.
*BAM*
The apocalyptic nightmare appeared on the next wall.
*bam*
Already reaching the end of what used to be the 11th floor.
The creature descended further.
*Bam*
Jumping below to reach another wall within 3 seconds. All the way to 12th floor.
*bam*
Leaped to the left corner to descend.
Kill
One word running in its mind repeatedly. Painted in black, blending in dark.
*bam!*
Jumping up and down, left and right as fast as winds.
Kill
Focused on one man.
*shing*
It's shining red monsters eyes with slit pupil still shining while ruining creating a red blur with its body blending to the darkness.
Speeding scarlet descends
Its body moved across ceilings and walls as naturally as a spider crawling across glass.
*BAM!*
A wall.
*BAM!*
A ceiling.
*BAM!*
Another wall.
Its movements became faster.
And faster.
*BAM!*
Thirteenth.
The creature was not running.
It was ricocheting.
Every surface became a launch point.
Every corner became another direction.
Its body repeatedly disappeared into darkness before reappearing somewhere else.
There was no hesitation.
No wasted movement.
Only acceleration.
Its enormous head remained almost unnaturally still while its limbs moved.
Its eyes glowed red reflecting its target.
Slit pupils.
No curiosity.
No hesitation.
No fear.
Only one instinct.
Kill.
It descended through the ruined floors.
*BAM!*
Fourteenth
*BAM!*
The flying monsters above never understood what passed beside them.
A scarlet blur.
That was all.
*SHING!*
Claws carved the wall.
The creature launched again.
Kill.
Fifteenth.
*BAM!*
Sixteenth.
*BOOM!!*
Its tail shattered a boulder.
Kill.
Seventeenth.
The creature stopped.
Its four limbs dug into the wall.
Its body compressed.
Its red eyes found the target.
Alex still recovering from the Goliath's scream.
The monster's body lowered.
Every limb gathered itself.
Its tail curled behind it.
The Dungeon's living weapon had arrived.
Juggernaut.
And unlike Black Goliath—
Juggernaut did not need overwhelming size.
It possessed something far more terrifying.
Speed.
*SHING!*
It disappeared.
Not jumped.
Not ran.
Disappeared.
*BOOM!!!*
Kill
Finally at the walls of 17th floor. It lunges forward towards the groaning man.
Landing on the ground using its dark appendage, moving as quick as the wind.
*thud!*
Now standing using its back legs.
It landed behind Alex.
One foot away.
Alex's ears were still ringing.
His balance remained damaged.
His hand remained against the ground.
Juggernaut rose onto its hind legs.
.
.
.
The monster shadows looming at the back of the man groaning in pain.
*schwoop~~*
The long tail lifted.
Its jaw opened to reveal its Serrated fangs.
Four claws opened.
Darkness and death.
The monster's body became completely still for a fraction of a second.
Then—
*boom!*
The first strike landed and tore the ground.
The second strike came from a tail descending
The third came from the opposite angle.
Attacking with another tail swipe yet again.
*CRACK!*
Followed by jaw bites
*BAM!*
Another claw swipe.
And another razor sharp strike.
The monster's attacks became impossible to distinguish individually.
Thirty strikes.
Every second.
Thirty.
Turned sixty.
And makes the rhythm accelerated further.
*boom* *crack* *boom*
the ground tore apart. New sets of holes appear each second while a chunks flies.
*BOOM!!*
*CRACK!!*
*BOOM!!*
*BAM!!*
Every strike carried monstrous force.
Juggernaut's thin limbs did not match its strength.
That contradiction made it terrifying.
Its body looked almost skeletal.
Its limbs looked too thin to possess such power.
Yet every blow tore apart stone.
Its bladed tail swept through the air.
Its claws carved trenches.
The creature changed direction between every strike.
Left.
Right.
Above.
Behind.
Below.
Its movements created overlapping red streaks.
The legion stopped advancing.
Even the monsters understood.
This was no longer their hunt.
This was a predator claiming its prey.
—OOOO!!
Murderous howling while Barrages of razor sharp claws attacks and tail swipes keeps slashing that man.
The barrage intensified.
*BOOM!*
Its tail cut through bedrock.
The ground beneath Alex disappeared piece by piece.
*BOOM!*
The monsters watched from outside.
None interfered.
The predator claiming its prey.
*BOOM!*
Dust erupted around the man.
The ground collapsed beneath his feet.
Claws shredded his clothing.
*BOOM!!!!*
His armor tore.
*SHREEEEEEEEPN~*
Leather and fabric fell apart.
—OOOO!!
Not holding back since the first swipe, putting maximum power to the outmost limit in every attacks.
The monster did not slow.
It did not pause to examine the damage.
It simply attacked.
Thirty strikes per second.
Again.
Again.
Again.
A full minute of continuous killing.
Maximum force.
Maximum speed.
Every strike capable of killing a high-level adventurer.
*fwieeeeeeee~~*
The dust cloud expanded.
Ten meters.
Twenty.
Thirty.
*boom*
Stone fragments flew from within it.
*boom*
The ground beneath the cloud became a crater.
Juggernaut finally stopped.
*THUD*
It landed several feet away.
Its chest had not visibly risen with exhaustion.
Its red eyes remained fixed on the dust.
*sniiiit*
Blood red eyes shimmering, expressing glee in its expressionless dark face.
Its body remained ready with no sign of exhaustion.
As if it needs to breath.
It had done what it was created to do.
Eliminate the threat.
The Dungeon's living weapon had fulfilled its purpose.
Juggernaut turned its head.
Smelled the cart nearby.
*THUNK*
Its wooden frame rested against the ruined bedrock. Wooden wheels destroyed.
Just distance away from the former threat.
The unconscious prey or remaining targets was still there.
Its claws grabbed the ground.
Its tail curved beside its head.
*bam*
The monster bent, preparing to leap. Its thin muscles fibers bracing for an explosive movement
One jump.
That was all it needed.
The targets had been destroyed.
Or so the monster believed
*fwip!*
a hand emerges within that dust cloud.
Juggernaut stopped.
*Inhale*
.
.
*Exhale*
With a single blow from the mouth,
*FWOOOSH!*
The dust cloud disappeared
A figure stood inside the crater.
*grippp*
Alex stood there.
*whoosh~~*
Naked.
His clothes shredded.
His ears still ringing but ceased bleeding.
Yet his body had no wounds.
No cuts.
No bruises.
Not even a scratch.
His gray eyes stared directly at Juggernaut.
His right hand was already holding its tail.
The monster's leap had been stopped before it began.
For the first time—
Juggernaut's body reacted.
Its red eyes widened slightly.
Not fear.
Confusion.
Its claws tightened.
Alex did not move.
For the entire minute, he had been watching.
He had allowed the creature to demonstrate everything it possessed.
Every attack.
Every direction.
Every acceleration.
Every change in rhythm.
He had measured it.
Evaluated it.
Calculated the Juggernaut.
Maybe the guild has documents about this nightmare-fuel creature.
He failed to identified the monster.
Unknown to the public newspapers from old to new.
Unrecognizable even to the memories of Grithra nor evilus members he gathered yesterday.
"This monster speed is ridiculous."
His grip tightened.
"Thirty attacks per second..."
His eyes moved across the monster's body.
In that entire minute using doriki. It felt just how my old dog used to pounce on my back whenever we play. Haha!
He felt nostalgic.
"You really did remind me of my dog."
His lips curved into a small smile.
The Juggernaut attempts to escape away from him.
Its claws dug into the ground.
Tails tries scratching him
To hurt nothing.
Alex's grip remained absolute.
He looked at the Juggernaut.
Then beyond it.
*GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR!!!*
Black Goliath was already approaching again.
The massive creature had survived from its own attack.
The jaw start regenerating back to normal.
Alex's expression turned amusement.
"You had your fun. I'm calling you UME for now."
His voice was deep and calm labelling the apocalyptic monster Unclassified Monstrous Entity at front.
Almost gentle.
He looked directly into Juggernaut's scarlet eyes.
"My turn."
A pause.
He starts restraining his power, using almost half.
Alex hurled the juggernaut within a fraction of the second.
*WHAAAAAAAMMMM*
The Juggernaut never registered the motion of its body yanked.
*BOOM!!!*
Silence followed by thunderclap.
*FWWOOOOSH~*
A living weapon. Juggernaut flew headfirst across the battlefield like an arrow.
Not toward the ground.
Not toward a wall.
*FWWOOSH*
Flying past the monster army.
Straight toward another enormous presence.
Towards Black Goliath.
The giant monster raised its head to witness the incoming.
Too late.
*BOOOOOOOOM!!!!*
Juggernaut struck Goliath.
The collision swallowed both monsters.
The Goliath's enormous body was dragged backward with extreme force.
*KRAAAAAAASH!!*
Pillars exploded.
*KRAAAASH!*
Another pillar disintegrated.
*KRAAASH!!!*
A larger pillar fell after colliding its back
Until—
*BOOOOOOOOM!!!*
Black Goliath was driven straight to Dungeon wall.
The entire chamber trembled.
Dust erupted.
Juggernaut remained lodged against the goliath enormous body.
The monster legion froze.
No monster understood what had happened.
The creature that had just spent an entire minute attacking Alex without pause—
had become ammunition.
Dragging along the Black Goliath—
the seven-meter king or monster rex of seventeenth floor—
had been moved by a human.
*fwieeeeeeee~~*
Dust fell.
The passing breeze felt refreshing.
Alex looked at his destroyed clothing.
He sighed.
"...That's inconvenient."
He picked up a small pebble.
*tp*
Picking a pebble from the ground
then placing on his forehead while visualizing something in his head.
His hands formed a Ram hand sign while closing his eyes.
*POOF!*
A thin cloud of smoke formed around his body.
Walking out of it, Alex now wears his old clothes on display excluding the helmet.
The armor.
The fabric.
The familiar appearance.
Only his helmet was missing.
Alex looked down at himself.
"Much better."
Alex turns his head.
He looked toward the distant impact.
In that destroyed wall,
*fwieeeeeeee~~*
Dust been settled.
The Juggernaut quickly skipped away from the wall.
Black Goliath rises too
Its enormous arms pushed against the broken wall.
*krak*
Stone fell from its back.
Its head rose.
Its eyes remained red.
But Its chest wounded.
The culprit's claws sunk in the ground.
—OOOO!!
Yet the dark monster lunges to the enemy that's resting in the wall.
Jaw opened yet the Black goliath swing his arms to the sky.
and punched the Juggernaut's jaw away.
*GROOOOOOOOOOOAR!!!*
The fight between the two monsters starts.
Juggernaut versus Black Goliath.
A sword clashing against Warhammer.
The legion didn't dare to interrupt their bout.
The weaker monsters will be crushed in their path.
Why the gigantic powerhouses fight? A living weapon born and think only to killing.
Not limited to their target but every non-living creature.
Destroy what's ahead.
*KRAAAASH!*
The Dungeon continued to tremble.
The clashes lasted for seconds.
until—
BOOM!!!
The Juggernaut's claws struck.
The Goliath blocked.
CRACK!!!
Its enormous forearm twisted under the force.
The Juggernaut attacked again.
*SHRAAAAAK!!!*
Four claws ripped through the Goliath's arm easily.
like a butter under a knife.
The enormous limb was shredded.
*THUD*
Dark limb splashed across the floor.
Any lesser monster beneath the fall will be crushed along the stones.
The Goliath staggered.
But it did not fall yet.
The Juggernaut attacked the other arm.
*SHRAAAAAK!!!*
Its second arm was torn apart.
For the second time,
the Black Goliath's enormous body leaned backward.
Juggernaut had severed them both.
Yet Black Goliath did not remain disabled.
The Dungeon had given the goliath another gift.
Regeneration.
The ruined flesh began pulsating.
*THUMP*
Dark flesh began forming inside the empty shoulder.
*THUMP*
Muscle emerged.
Bone followed.
*KRRRRRRRRK*
The new skeletal structures extended outward.
Black Goliath's missing arms continued growing.
Muscle fibers reconnected.
Bones shifted.
Tissue grew.
Tendons.
Skin.
Slowly.
The process was grotesque.
Both arms were not repaired.
It was being reborn.
*KRRRRAAAACK!*
The fingers emerged.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
The enormous hand clenched.
*CRACK!*
The regenerated arms have now been complete.
It took time.
Two minutes.
That was all it needed.
Serrated eye, hair, legs and torso regenerated too.
Black Goliath continued the fight against the Juggernaut.
While the Juggernaut remained fine. Dodging every Goliath's attacks with speed.
Their enemy was not crushed yet.
Two minutes to completely regenerate those arms. Just like the anime showed. That's a level 5 threat for you.
Alex watched and amusement plastered in his face.
Turning his head to the Juggernaut
That UME sure is stronger than the Goliath.
Alex's eyes narrowed.
"Level six."
He had already seen enough.
The Juggernaut was operating at a level beyond Black Goliath.
This whole fight dragging a long time. I'm running out of time.
Alex used the time when monster fight their own kin for planning.
His hands reaching for something from his thigh pocket.
Moving unto the next stage.
A recognizable oval green fruit.
possessing a crown of long vibrant blue prickly leaves.
Adorned in swirling pattern.
This looks beautiful.
He held it for a moment awed by its designed
*MUNCH*
Began eating it
*MUNCH*
*GULP*
Wolfing it within two bites
Pineapple flavor delicious
He thinks while remembering his favorite alcoholic drink.
Then within him,
*FWIP*
Something igniting
*FSSSS*
Blue flames erupted from his back.
Flames shaping similar to feathers.
*VOOOOOSH!!!*
Feathers flames wrapping around his body in circular motion.
It did run wildly but in order
Unlike the ordinary flames,
It's not hot but room temperature
Yet-miraculously,
*INHALE*
Its healing his very wound.
The wounds in his ears began.
*FWOOOM!*
Regenerating ruptured eardrums.
Placing with new tissue.
The reason is the regenerating ability of,
The Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix or Bird-Bird Fruit, Model: Phoenix.
A Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit.
Granting enhanced capabilities too.
*EEEeee.*
The ringing slowly faded.
His hearing returned
*Jigigigigigigi!!*
killer ants crawling in floor 11.
*—oooOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!*
*GROOOOAAAAR*
Hearing the monster army roars, the loudest coming from the Goliath.
*Exhale~~~~~*
Alex breathes in relief since his repaired returned functional.
He decided that the flames finished its job.
*FWOoosh…*
Blue feather flames dances weakly before vanishing.
Next,
He is picking another object inside his thigh pocket.
To then,
Pulling out is another Devil Fruit
colored in
Orange.
And yellow.
covered by swirling patterns too.
Immediately, He brought it to his mouth.
*CRUNCH*
His teeth pierced the flesh.
*MUNCH*
He chewed.
His expression changed.
pleasant surprise.
Sweet.
Expressing his thought while biting.
*MUNCH*
citrus.
apple.
Sweetness.
A strange combination that somehow worked.
He swallowed the last piece.
*GULP*
Alex looked at the remaining stem.
"Not bad."
Alex smiled as he discarding it.
The air distorted.
Next,
he expelled something in his back.
*POOOF!*
It's not one cloud of smoke he created.
*POOOF!*
Two
*POOOF!*
Three
*POOOF!*
Nor four
*POOOF!*
But five clouds appeared.
The clouds merged.
*FWOOOOOO~~~OOSH!!!*
Smoke spread around him.
The monsters stared.
The cloud vanished.
*DOOM!*
Five identical figures stood behind Alex.
The Mono Mono no Mi or Thing-Thing fruit had created them.
A non-canon paramecia capable of materializing objects limited at user's palm and
capable of materializing clone of known person with the absolute command over the clone,
even if it goes against their personalities.
Its greatest strength lies fourth,
Not projections.
They are physical recreations of creating 5 clones of user
Five weaker copies than original.
Making him a Recreation Human.
Alex turned towards them.
"From left to right."
He pointed.
"Your names will be Aerin."
The first clone stood straight.
"Beirlot."
The second clone looking the cart.
"Cerizan."
The third staring at the floors.
"Deynluim."
The fourth eye-gazing the monsters.
"Etragon."
The fifth clone starts staring to the ceiling
With a calm voice, Alex ended naming his clones a fitting names for this fantasy and medieval era instead of referring as Clone 1 to 5 or giving them a generic names too.
Next,
The five stood silently looked at each other.
Same height.
Same face.
Same clothing.
Same handsome appearance.
No obvious physical difference.
But they were not Alex.
Finally,
Starring at their progenitor.
Unhesitantly,
Alex looked forward and pointed his fingers.
toward the battlefield which every clones directed their eyes too.
He thought the entire plan before summoning them.
His eyes narrowed while looking across the battlefield.
"We're short on time. Go."
That was enough.
*FZOOOOSH1!!!*
The clones accelerated.
*BOOOOM!!!*
Thunderclap sounds exploded.
Surrounded the room.
*TMP*
Alex moved
*TMP*
Aerin went north.
*TMP*
Cerizan went south.
*TMP*
Deynluim went east.
*TMP*
Etragon went west.
*tmp*
Beirlot remained in the center, walking to the cart.
He would not fight.
*tmp* *tmp*
The clones bolted faster than wind.
*tmp* *tmp*
Faster than the monster perceives.
*tmp*
They already understood.
They had been created with his command embedded within them.
Their knowledge was his knowledge.
Their purpose was his purpose.
No confusion.
They crossed the ruined floor.
To the monsters, they became blurs.
*tmp*
But Alex—
He was already waiting.
Instantly positioned 8 steps ahead of his clones.
In mere moments, Arriving at his desired spot.
—OOOO!!*
*GROOOOOOOOOOOAR!!!*
In front of the 2 dark creatures battling.
A black goliath limbs shredded yet again.
The Juggernaut preparing for leaping yet failed to notice the man at front nor perceived his run.
*tmp* *tmp* *tmp* *tmp*
Within moments, the clones arrived in their designated position.
*DOOOM!~*
Aerin stood at the northern wall.
Cerizan on the southern end
Deynluim standing western corner
and
Etragon stand eastern wall.
3 seconds huh...I thought it'll be 7 seconds.
Alex congratulates his clones for exceeding the speed in his minds.
If the monster are capable of thoughts,
The legion would realize.
No longer surrounding one human.
They are surrounded.
By instinct,
*GROOOOAAAAR*
The Legion monsters gaze shifted.
Targeting towards Alex and clones.
Growing tired of unmoving.
To kill them all.
Before the monsters could move.
They saw.
Alex raised the back of his right hand.
The clones followed.
Beirlot raised his hand as well.
Their fingers unclasped and holding the empty air.
*FWOH*
A blue light conjuring to their hands.
Unitedly, speaking in their deep calm voice.
"ROOM!"
The technique manifesting,
*ZOOM!!*
The light exploding rapidly turning to spheres
At their hands.
*PWOOOO~~~*
Those spheres turned blue and expanding beyond the men.
This is the second time yet still so amazing
Alex told himself.
The field lengthens based on the user's strength.
Expanding outward
Across the ground.
Through the air.
Across the dungeon walls.
Through the Dungeon.
*ZOOOM~~~*
The clones' Rooms expanded as well.
But Alex's expanded faster.
Much faster.
*PWOOOO~~~*
The five spheres approached one another.
Their boundaries touching.
Instead of rejecting—
they merged.
*DOOOM~~~*
Five rooms became one.
A single colossal operating field.
One colossal blue domain swallowing the ruined Dungeon.
Blue light spreading through the Dungeon.
From seventeenth floor.
Sixteenth.
Fifteenth.
Fourteenth.
Thirteenth.
Twelfth.
Eleventh.
Tenth.
Ninth.
Eighth.
Seventh.
Sixth.
Fifth.
The field continued beyond the Dungeon itself.
Three seconds was all.
*PWO~~~~~OOOOOF!!!*
The expansion stopped.
Silence.
Then—
*DOOO~~OM!!!*
Everything froze.
Every airborne monsters stopped in midair.
Wyverns stopped flying.
Black Wyverns, a stronger and irregular version, suspended in the air.
Bad Bats frozen in air.
Monsters on ground locked in motion.
Goblins motionless.
Kobolds remained static.
Hellhounds paralyzed.
Almiraj ceased hopping.
Orcs suspended in time.
Ligerfangs petrified.
Minotaurs stopped charging.
Infant Dragons stopped mid-step.
Dungeon Worms froze halfway through the ground.
Killer Ants stopped crawling.
Especially,
Juggernaut could not move.
Black Goliath stopped moving.
No monster could move.
None could scream.
Nor could resist.
The walls became still
The falling pebbles and smoke ceased moving.
Flames stopped moving.
For the first time—
The Dungeon stopped spawning.
And become silent.
Alex looked across the colossal Room.
Tens of thousands of monsters.
Every single one trapped.
The entire middle section of the dungeon and every monsters.
turned patients inside an operating room.
Alex and his clones—
were the surgeon.
Next,
He raised his left hand.
The clones followed.
Their hands moved simultaneously.
A single sweeping motion.
"Scan."
Their voices echoed together.
Their eyes remained calm.
*SWISH*
The blue field responded.
Information began flowing through the ROOM.
Entire battlefield and every monster became information.
An ability created from eating the Ope-Ope no mi or Op-Op Fruit.
Making him a Free Modification Human.
The Dungeon walls.
The cracks.
The collapsed floors.
The spawning points.
The Juggernaut.
The Black Goliath.
Every monster.
Every organ.
Every bone.
Every muscle density.
Every magic stone.
Every abnormality.
Every weakness.
Every strength.
Every movement capability.
Every biological abnormality.
Every living being.
Every corpses.
Every location.
Some had armor-like skin.
Others possessed poisonous organs.
Some had wings.
Others possessed extraordinary speed.
Several species possessed magical attacks.
The Dungeon had produced an entire ecosystem of weapons.
Everything inside the colossal domain.
Nothing escaped the scan.
Alex is excited.
Everything entered to the minds of Alex, Aerin, Beirlot, Cerizan, Deynluim, and Etragon.
Their gray eyes remained calm.
*SWISH*
The scanning continued above the ruined floors reaching the fifth floor.
It takes moments to processed all information even with their inhuman brain capacity.
And while they are processing the battlefield—
Alex's eyes narrowed.
There.
His gaze shifted toward the cart.
Then, Alex look the clone who's close.
Beirlot stood near the cart
Bringing both of his hands forward
His curved, tensioned fingers gripping the empty air.
Then,
*ZZRDD!*
white light appeared between his hands.
*ZZRDD!!*
The light expands,
Swelling into a towering, oblong mirror
Standing at five meters high.
Bound by a heavy wooden frame.
A wooden frame surrounded it.
Shining and reflecting the frozen world.
*thud*
Beirlot gently lowers it onto the earth.
To follow the next plan.
*ZZRDD!*
The glass loses its solid form, rippling like gentle waves.
Reflecting another dimension.
Which immediately,
Beirlot lifted the broken huge cart.
Inside the wheelless wagon are the
The giants bags.
The unconscious Grithra
Loki Familia critically injured members
Their torn limbs
Their dead companion wrapped in shredded linen sheet.
Beirlot starts walking forward.
His assignment was different.
The purpose was not combat.
It was rescue and beyond that.
*ZUBUBU!!*
Alex watched as Beirlot entered into the rippling mirror turned to portal.
The clone carrying the large wagon in his right shoulder.
Those who could not survive another moment on the battlefield.
They would be moved somewhere the monsters could never reach.
The Mirror World.
Alex trusted the clone completely.
Beirlot would handle the people.
Alone.
Away from the battlefield.
Away from the monsters.
Away from the coming slaughter.
The Mirror remains in the center.
The Dungeon remained frozen in the Room.
Alex shifted his gaze to the monster rex of 17th floor.
Behind him,
Wounded Black Goliath immobilized at the broken wall.
He waited.
Till the Black Goliath's regenerating limbs reach nearly completion.
Alex allows it to happen.
Absorb the information behind its Regenerative properties.
The Juggernaut remained motionless few meters away from the Goliath.
The living weapon that was too fast for the entire legion—
could not move.
Finally,
Alex and his clones completely understood and everything inside the domain.
Analyzed down to every miniscule detail.
Nothing remained unknown nor hidden to them.
For three minutes.
Their expression remained completely calm.
The battlefield had changed.
The monsters were no longer hunters.
They were specimens.
And Alex had finished observing them.
Now—
the experiment could begin.
