He tugged at the corner of his lips, watching the woman walk past him.
As she was about to go upstairs, he finally spoke, "Sorry, it was unintentional."
Unintentional...? Fiona paused, turned around, glared at him, and mumbled under her breath, "So pretentious."
She spoke even quieter, thinking the man wouldn't hear, but unexpectedly Norton Abyss tugged at his lips again and said, "This is pretentious? Hmph, anyway, sorry!"
With that, he strode towards the dining room.
Behind him, Tara Summer and Liam Yancey exchanged glances, looking towards the staircase. Fiona was still standing there, looking shocked.
"Hey, really..." She frowned, swiftly walking back to Tara and asking, "Tell me, Tara, what exactly is wrong with your cousin? He's bitten two people in a row, can't it be cured?!"
