Lucas Quinn was tending to her wound, his brows furrowed deeply.
"Are you hurt?" Charlotte Allison didn't actually feel any pain, but she couldn't stand seeing him frown.
Seeing her own wound, she wondered if he might be hurt too.
The relief of seeing him safe was initially enough, but now she felt greedier, hoping he was uninjured.
"Yes, it hurts a lot." Lucas said, feeling heartbroken. He didn't want to hide his injury, wanting her to feel for him as well.
Charlotte immediately gave him a worried look, "Where are you hurt?"
Lucas pulled up his shirt, revealing his lean and strong abdomen. There was a wound on the right side of his waist, scraped and bleeding, but it wasn't deep, just an abrasion.
Normally, Lucas wouldn't think much of it.
But now, he looked as if he was enduring immense pain, like it was a grave injury.
Charlotte was amused by him, yet she did feel worried; although the wound wasn't deep, it was still bleeding.
