"Moku!" Furfur hissed, gritting his teeth.
"Hi. Long time no see, Furfur. It's been half a year, hasn't it?" Moku greeted him with a casual tone, as if merely acknowledging an old friend.
Furfur narrowed his eyes. A flicker of hesitation crossed his mind—not because Moku had suddenly appeared with a massive surge of power, but because he could feel absolutely nothing from the monster before him. During their first encounter, Furfur had been able to gauge Moku's strength by his wild, primal aura.
While Furfur hadn't been able to sense Moku's mana even back then, it hadn't mattered to a warrior of his caliber. Mana could be manipulated with certain spells to cause detection to falter, but a combat aura—the sheer weight of one's presence in the air—never lied.
