When Gu Fei came out, Gu Sanlang was already gone. He had probably gone off to watch the festivities somewhere.
Only Lian'er followed closely behind her.
Gu Fei glanced back at the building. The location really was excellent. 'But where would I get three thousand silver taels?'
Then again, something felt off. 'A storefront in a location this good... if the old man really wanted to sell it, would he have any trouble finding a buyer?'
'There's definitely something strange about this place.'
'It's probably haunted or tangled up in some legal trouble.'
'Oh well, I'll stop thinking about it for now. I should ask around and see what I can find out.'
After a few steps, she saw a plump, endearing rabbit lantern by the side of the street. Gu Fei stood and watched it for a moment before turning to walk away.
She had only taken a single step when she suddenly froze.
Lian'er glanced at her, confused, only to see Gu Fei staring fixedly ahead.
