"Sister Wan..."
From the moment the caregiver said Ye Wan would be here any minute, the waxy, lifeless look on Yu Xiaoman's face improved by more than half.
She even had the caregiver help her sit up and insisted on changing into the white floral dress she'd worn when she first came to the hospital.
The caregiver had worked in the ICU for so many years and knew patients' conditions best. Her heart sank at once, but nothing showed on her face. She answered with a smile and helped Yu Xiaoman change.
Ye Wan set up the stand and placed her phone in front of the TV facing the hospital bed.
Yu Xiaoman watched quietly, then slowly sat up and removed her oxygen mask.
Her complexion was nowhere near as good as it had been when she was with the crew a few days ago, but compared to the last two days, she already looked a thousand times better.
"Sister Wan..."
Not knowing what had happened in the past two days, Yu Xiaoman burst into tears the instant she saw Ye Wan.
