In the confined space of Astrid's small apartment, Isiah could have effortlessly stirred chaos, yet he opted for a more deliberate approach.
Choosing patience over disruption.
The distant chirping of birds, creatures Astrid evidently cared for, reached Isiah's ears as he noticed their cages hanging on the wall.
His attention gravitated toward them, silently observing the cages.
Astrid explained, "The little ones woke up. My babies...It must be because of the light. I usually take them into another room to sleep with no light."
Astrid's consideration for the birds seemed to awaken something inside of Isiah.
He stood up and slowly walked towards the cages.
She had 5 birds , 3 were in one cage, green male and blue female and a little yellow chick and two in another one that were both yellow.
He stood there, his movements momentarily transporting him to a different time and place.
A twinge of discomfort gripped Isiah as he felt a subtle ache in his stomach.
