The people of District One were utterly paralyzed by shock over the sudden, merciless death of their self-proclaimed leader.
They had fully believed Isiah was already dead when Rivok initially drove the blade into his chest, completely unaware that it was all a cold, calculated act; just as Isiah had deceived them earlier by pretending he was incapable of casting spells.
Rivok's closest followers hoisted his lifeless corpse onto their shoulders, carrying him away to prepare a proper burial for his honor. Rivok had promised to unite them, to lead them through the gates and show them the path to level up, only for Isiah to materialize like a vengeful demon and terminate his life in cold blood.
In doing so, Isiah had robbed them of a leader, only to leave them with a martyr.
