Chapter 167 - A hundred and forty years...

Each impact carried enough force to break bone after bone after bone.

Akira collapsed onto the ground, but the pain did not stop.

His body twisted violently beneath the impact, bones shattering repeatedly while fresh waves of coins rained down from the sky without mercy. Every breath became agony.

Time lost meaning quickly.

Minutes.

Hours.

Days.

He could not tell anymore.

Eventually, the impacts stopped reaching him directly.

Akira opened his eyes weakly.

He realized then that the coins had piled over his body completely. Mountains of gold had buried him beneath their crushing weight. Ironically, the pile itself now shielded him from the endless rain above.

But it also trapped him.

The pressure grew heavier and heavier with every passing moment as more coins continued falling from the heavens above.

He could no longer move.

Could no longer breathe properly.

The weight kept increasing.

Endlessly.
