Lu followed Yamada Machiichi's gaze, looking up to the sky, where the outline of an eye was forming.
Huge, indifferent, non-human, it was the eye of the Radiant Mother God, currently closed.
When it opens, it will be the end.
"Scared? That eye does look a bit frightening," Lu said.
Yamada Machiichi snapped back to reality, forcing a smile. Today he was dressed in practical long sleeves and pants, the iron clasps holding his clothes tightly; he hadn't worn Lolita fashion for quite a while now.
"A bit," Yamada Machiichi admitted, "But, thinking that if we lose, we might not even have time to be scared, makes it not so frightening, just a bit regrettable."
"Regrettable for what?"
"I haven't ridden your aircraft carrier yet," Yamada Machiichi stated matter-of-factly, "You said that in the future, you'll take us on a real aircraft carrier, have a party at sea, watch the sunset, eat piles of ice cream served on a boat."
