As the mist gradually dissipated, the sun that was blocked finally revealed itself. Intense beams of light penetrated through the clouds that covered the sky like a holy light . In an instant, the crowd felt their skin burn. The girl that fell just a while ago is also here, she's sitting on a plain sand, dust covered her whole body while she shiver in disbelief. Everyone was astounded. They were thrown into confusion by the thick mist that they had not realized they were slowly stepping into an illusion.
At this time, Ye Shenyin crouched down to touch the sand. After a short while, his eyes widened with slight shock. "This is atleast a mid-level type of mind puzzling array" Ye Shenyin muttered. Beside him, Ming Yi, who just dug himself out of a pit, also felt the sand, his face full of confusion
"How did you know?"
"It is because of the sand" the two looked at the teenager who arrived.
"The sand has its own warm temperature which is unusual to the sand normally found at the desert which means the sand is an illusion, much less the place" the youth continued
"Yi Feng " Ming Yi muttered.
"Ming Yi. I didn't expect you to participate in this exam" Yi Feng, with his cold eyes, swept a quick glance at the person beside Ming Yi before sneering "You even brought him with you. How despicable"
"First of, I know that we have fallen to an illusion. You must have misunderstood haha and am I the one who brought a whole clan to protect me?" Ming Yi taunted as he flicked his sleeves leisurely making the people nearby who listen to him silently suppress their urge to laugh.
"I am atleast not as stupid as you" Yi Feng coldly snorted
"You better watch your mouth" Ming Yi said darkly.
"You better watch yours" Yi Feng threw these words coldly before turning to leave but before he could even do so, a round metallic object abruptly flew out from within Ming Yi's sleeves. Attached to its sides were six metal claws bringing with it an eerie wind as it spun towards a certain direction
"chi" the sound of flesh being stabbed resounded causing the already panic people nearby to panic even more.
"Y-you! you dare try to hurt our master, you're seeking death!" Shouted Yi Yun through gritted teeth while gripping his wounded arm. Just now, when the mysterious metallic ball flew out , unleashing it's six metal claws, the sharp-eyed Yi Yun, saw the ball and immediately rushed forward to defend resulting in him being stabbed. It was not a fatal blow though, if it wasn't for Ming Yi holding back, he would have been stabbed straight in the chest and die. Who would have thought that someone would actually attack another and during an exam on top of that! Yi Feng stood in the same place, only his face turned to the side giving a glance at Ming Yi however, his eyes grew visibly colder making Ming Yi subconsciously shudder.
"Isn't this getting a bit troublesome?" Xiao Ying asked in a concern tone, his eyes moved from the mirror to Lu Qingxian. The calm and indifferent Lu Qingxian didn't respond as his gaze never left the mirror making Xiao Ying anxious
"Senior brother Lu, if this exam fails I'm afraid we.." must bare the consequence and punishment from the sect. He forcefully swallowed the half of the sentence. For the past years , Xiao Ying had witnessed his Senior brother handle some of Spring Water Peak's troublesome issues at such a young age, built the sect's foundation and act as a master in behalf of Yan Shan. He might never show it to anyone, but Xiao Ying knew how exhausted and weak his senior brother currently is so he is very much afraid that a single mistake would lead to his Senior brother's hard work to collapse. This is also the reason why he had stayed within Spring Water Peak all this time and tried to perform his duties perfectly without the slightest flaw!
"Xiao Ying, it's fine. They should be able to figure out the way out of the array soon" Suddenly, Lu Qingxian turned his head, his gaze landing on him. His calm eyes suddenly turned cold
"Without a harsh and bitter test, how could they keep up with our sect's trainings"
Meanwhile inside the mind puzzling array. Ming Yi grabbed Ye Shenyin's shoulder and made him back a few steps while his hand made a close motion. Once he opened his hand again, a metallic ball suddenly appeared in his hand. In fact, the metallic ball he tossed returned to him in a blink of an eye as if it had it's own life when in reality, he possessed an item specialized to summon the metal ball!
"You guys. Won't you stop fighting" The girl from before pushed her way in between Ming Yi and Yi Feng's group. Now that the fog had dissipated, and the girl had wiped herself clean, everyone can clearly see her lovable face, her luscious red lips moved slightly as she talk in a high-pitched voice
"We are on an exam, the elders and Peak lords might be watching us now. If you continue being hostile, then who in the world would willingly accept you in the sect huh?" The girl scolded as she crossed her arms across her firm breasts, her crimson red skirt hugged her waist tightly, highlighting her voluptuous body. All the men who saw her felt their throats dry and the women, envy.
The girl was named Lu Li. Her charming presence that seemed to ignite fire within a man's heart , proudly stood in between Ming Yi and Yi Feng's group specifically blocking Yi Feng's line of sight too thus making him fully engulfed in her seductive charm. After a long silence, Yi Feng finally withdrew his gaze and turned to look at Yi Yun
"Take him away"
Yi Jian and the others heard his command and immediately took the wounded Yi Yun away. Yi Feng then left without another word, expelling the fight. Right then, Ming Yi and Ye Shenyin secretly sighed in relief. Originally, they did not want to fight with Yi Feng's group– they didn't even want to come across them in the first place. Seeing the slight killing intent in his eyes, Ming Yi had already prepared himself for whatever's gonna happen and would not back out unless the other would do so. Only after seeing his opponent withdraw did he slightly relaxed.
"Shenyin, let's go" Ming Yi turned to Ye Shenyin and urged before leaving. Not long after, Yi Feng's group also walked to the other direction leaving only the dumbfounded Lu Li
"Hmp! how could they leave like this? that brat didn't even thank me" Lu Li frowned and looked towards the direction of Ming Yi. Xiao Ying let out a sigh of relief upon seeing the situation. Inside, he was thankful for the lady who suddenly appeared to help the situation.
"If she hadn't come, the exam would have been a disaster," Xiao Ying thought. Meanwhile, Lu Qingxian still stared quietly at the mirror however, at this time, a small smile had appeared on his pale face.
