Unable to fight off the drowsiness, I was about to turn off the light and go to sleep when the door handle made a sound.
"So late, you haven't slept yet?"
Seeing Alice sitting at the head of the bed, Chester put down his briefcase and suit jacket, loosened his tie, and walked towards her.
Alice softly said, "Waiting for you to come back... If you didn't return soon, I was going to sleep by myself."
Chester sat on the edge of the bed, pulled off his tie, and kissed her lightly, "Sorry for coming back late."
Alice hugged his arm, "It's okay, I know you're busy with work."
"Good girl."
Chester got up and unbuttoned his shirt.
Alice got out of bed, circled to the front of him and said gently, "Let me help you run the bath water!"
Chester affectionately replied, "No need, after waiting for me all night, you must be tired. You sleep first!"
Alice looked at him intently, her eyes filled with affection, "I'm not tired, I'm waiting to sleep together with you."
