Chester chuckled softly, "Still teasing me?"
"I'm serious... If Alice wasn't your woman, I would never let her leave." As he said this, the light in Claud Laurence's eyes was sharp and firm.
Chester said nothing, his indifferent gaze looking into the distance.
Claud Laurence asked softly, "Is she doing okay now?"
"Yes."
Claud Laurence sighed and said, "If you cared about her, why did you push her to my side back then?"
Chester answered honestly, "Because you are the only person I trust."
