"Aizen, Ran, over here!"
When Aizen, Ran Mouri, and Conan stepped off the train, they saw Sonoko Suzuki waving at them from outside the railing.
The three immediately walked over to meet Sonoko.
Ran Mouri glanced around and said, "Sonoko, didn't Kazuha say she was coming—?"
Sonoko Suzuki, holding Aizen's arm, said, "Kazuha was delayed by the Confucian Academy, so she'll be too late coming here. She said she'd meet us directly at the art museum."
The four walked outside, where a limousine was already waiting for them.
A young man wearing glasses, who looked to be about twenty-five, opened the car door for them. After
they got in, Sonoko Suzuki said, "Let me introduce you. The person driving is my father's secretary, Mr. Nishino."
"Nice to meet you!"
Nishino Masato, who was driving, greeted them.
"Hello, Mr. Nishino!"
Aizen greeted him, then asked Sonoko Suzuki beside him, "Sonoko, wasn't this matter supposed to be handled by Ayako-nee?"
Sonoko Suzuki nodded and said, "Yes, it was handled by my older sister. Mr. Nishino was sent by Dad to be my older sister's assistant."
Aizen asked, puzzled, "Isn't Auntie here too?"
Sonoko Suzuki said, "Even with Mom here, someone still needs to handle the specific tasks. Besides, Mr. Nishino has lived all over the world and is fluent in English, French, German, and so on."Aizen nodded upon hearing this, saying nothing more.
"Amazing!"
Ran Mouri exclaimed in amazement; of all the foreign languages she knew, only English was somewhat fluent.
The car drove into the Suzuki Museum of Modern Art, and Aizen and the other three got out.
Upon exiting the car, they saw police officers everywhere around the museum, and helicopters constantly circling overhead—the security was incredibly tight.
Ran Mouri looked around and said, "So many police officers!"
"After all, it's Kaito Kid!"
Sonoko Suzuki said with a hint of pride; to her, the stolen Egg of Memories was nothing.
"Ran, Sonoko!"
Kazuha Toyama's voice rang out. Aizen and the others looked in the direction of the voice and saw Kazuha Toyama standing beside a motorcycle, holding a helmet, with Heiji Hattori sitting on it.
After handing the helmet to Heiji Hattori, Kazuha Toyama walked over and stood beside Ran Mouri and Sonoko Suzuki, greeting Aizen and Conan.
Aizen responded with a smile, greeting Heiji Hattori as he approached. In his mind, however, he was thinking that since Heiji was here, Heizo Hattori must be at police headquarters, meaning Shizuka Hattori was likely home alone. He hadn't touched her body in a long time and missed her terribly; now was the perfect time to go.
"Gentlemen, please follow me. Madam and Miss are probably waiting for you,"
Masato Nishino said, turning and walking ahead.
"Let's go in too!"
Aizen called to the group, following behind with Sonoko Suzuki.
Led by Masato Nishino, the group entered the art museum and went up to the office, where they met Tomoko Suzuki and Ayako Suzuki, who were entertaining guests.
"Aizen, you've arrived."
It was Ayako Suzuki who greeted them. While Tomoko Suzuki didn't avoid Aizen, she also didn't initiate the greeting, seemingly wanting to avoid further conversation in public and risk arousing suspicion.
"Ran and Conan are here too. Sonoko, who are these two...?"
Ayako Suzuki recognized Ran and Conan, but she was meeting Heiji Hattori and Kazuha Toyama for the first time.
Sonoko replied, "This is Heiji Hattori, a famous high school detective from Kansai. Next to him is Kazuha, whom I've told you about, my good friend."
"Oh, it's you two. Sonoko has mentioned you a few times. Hello."
Ayako Suzuki nodded in greeting.
"Hello!"
Heiji Hattori and Kazuha Toyama naturally greeted each other upon their first meeting.
Sonoko then introduced her mother, Tomoko Suzuki, to Heiji and Kazuha, and in turn introduced the two to her mother.
After exchanging greetings, they looked at the four people sitting on the sofa. These four were the guests entertained by Suzuki Tomoko and Suzuki Ayako.
"Ding! Host, system has detected target Seiran Hoshi. Please capture her!"
Aizen's gaze instantly fell on the only woman among the four. This woman had short, gray-black hair, gray eyes, and gray earrings. She wore a blue cheongsam and possessed a very elegant demeanor; she was both beautiful and sophisticated, making it hard to imagine she was a mercenary.
"Let me introduce you!"
Suzuki Ayako said to Aizen and the others, then pointed to the burly man, saying, "This is Mr. Sergei Ovchinnikov, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy."
"
Nice to meet you!"
Sergei Ovchinnikov stood up, nodded to Aizen and the others, and then sat down.
Ayako Suzuki continued, "This gentleman next door is Mr. Shoichi Inui, the art dealer I invited."
Shoichi Inui also stood up and nodded to everyone.
"This is Ms. Seiran Hoshi, a researcher of the Romanov Dynasty."
"Hello!"
Seiran Hoshi stood up and greeted everyone, speaking fluent Chinese.
Ayako Suzuki continued, "This is Mr. Ryu Sagawa, a freelance filmmaker who applied to come and film the treasure."
"Greetings, everyone!"
Ryu Sagawa didn't stand up, holding a camera and looking at everyone, his camera constantly recording.
Tomoko Suzuki then spoke up, "Nishino, go and bring out the Egg of Memories, let the others appraise it."
"Yes, Madam!"
Masato Nishino bowed and turned to leave.
Sergei Ovchinnikov, Shoichi Inui, Seiran Hoshi, and Ryu Sagawa perked up at the news, their faces filled with anticipation. The reason they came here was none other than for the treasure, the Egg of Memories.
Aizen and the others were also waiting. Apart from Shinichi and Sonoko Suzuki, who had already seen the Egg of Memories, everyone else was very excited and wanted to see what kind of treasure it was.
