Putting Eve in the car and even placing a cooling pack near her heel he softly closed the passenger door of his new car.
Taking a few steps back, he couldn't stop having a massive grin on his face when looking at it. He was pretty lucky to find this beauty in this dealership.
A deep, dark electric blue colored Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X with a tuned-up engine, barely a few months old, and baby miles on it was standing on the selling lot.
Thinking about such cars dying out soon enough in a few years, he actually was a little bit greedy, so he also bought another 4 such cars, but not tuned.
Maybe he would drive them someday or use them for later repairs and spare parts or even learn to take such cars apart and tune himself.
It was actually one of his dreams back then if he had to be honest. He just nearly forgot about it all until he saw the cars and just had to binge buy them.
Hell, even with all 5 cars brought, it barely scratched 200k dollars somehow after he haggled with them. However, the tuned one was 20k more, and they only made the deal if I brought another car.
So he had chosen another car he liked, a 1965 Chevrolet Impala with the classic black paint job. Even though it was a used car, apparently, it was sold by the same guy who was selling the tuned Evo.
And having looked it through from top to bottom, it was basically in pristine condition as well for its age.
At first, Jack was curious and suspicious about why two really nice cars that looked like cars from a rich person's collection ended up here.
But the seller said these are actually from someone they know who works with collector cars, and someone just bailed on buying them, hence why they are here, and since Jack wanted to buy the tuned Evo, not to mention even buying 4 other standard GRS models they had in stock themselves, they did try to wink him the Impala.
And that is how it came to 200k in car sales. Interestingly enough, this time around, he actually even had to call his Bank for the purchase.
But the bigger problem will be later when he is going to get these delivered to him. For now, he ordered them to deliver the Impala and 4 reserve cars to be taken to the dealership in Summerville.
He would only take the keys for the Evo and drive with the temporary plates for now until he gets his plates later in Summerville. At least that was an option, and he was happy about that.
Come to think about it, insurance was going to be a pain in the arse. When he thought about that, he instantly decided that he would build himself a house in Summerville now. Since he had the money, he might as well do something useful with it.
He would need a large plot of land nearby that could accommodate everything. But that was some thought for later.
For now, he needed to get back first.
So he went around the car at the front and sat down in the driver's seat, smoothly starting the engine and letting it purr.
Eve saw his grin all over and snorted lightly.
"Someone seems very happy."
"Of course I'm happy. Not many days you get to drive such a car. Though I am tempted to get this one permanently now." He was still untruthful about his money situation, but it didn't matter anymore.
At some point, hiding it would become nearly impossible. For now, white lies are what they are.
"Hmmm." She looked at the interior and seemed to have already judged it somehow herself. "Why this one, though?"
"Because it's a gorgeous car. Well, this and the Impala over there." He pointed at the black car when they slowly drove past it.
"Isn't that the one from Supernatural?"
Jack raised his brows, so that show was a thing here as well. "The same, good eye."
"My sister would probably shriek the moment she saw it if we ended up driving that." Eve seemed to think about it and had to laugh lightly. "And Odette would probably get all wet over it."
"Who?" Jack raised another brow. That sounded rather like some eccentric personalities.
"My sister's best friend."
"And why exactly?"
"She is a woman who is all for that supernatural stuff. Wait until you see her. You will know what I mean."
"Sounds like a fun person to be around." From what Jack got from the small informations, even the rather blunt remark that he could land in her bad if he had the Impala, hinted at a rather carefree personality.
"She is." Eve agreed. "But sometimes she is taking it too far...."
