For the next two days, Vera Warner involved Mrs. Ellison in selecting fabrics and had her choose the material colors for the design sketches.
Even though the designs were finalized, there was still a great deal of follow-up work to do. This included handling various issues with the models for the fashion show, all of which required advance preparation.
Mrs. Ellison took out the day's schedule and showed it to Vera Warner, explaining, "Miss Warner, the first batch of finished pieces is ready. We're having the models try them on this afternoon. Will you be coming to the fitting to see how it goes?"
Vera noted that Mrs. Ellison had arranged everything quite well over the past two days, living up to her expectations.
"Excellent. Show this schedule to President Ellison for his review. He'll need to be there as well. The work from here on out will be very intense, so you both need to work quickly to complete your respective tasks."
