Chapter 612 - New Challenge 5

Deux had already told Alyssia a little about her twin sister, so Alyssia knew just enough to make her own preparations.

That was why she had gone through the trouble of visiting Elbaf so that she could hone her skills enough to face whatever would be thrown at her once she returned to Empirica Island.

Una was supposed to be incredibly strong, so that made her dangerous on her own.

Deux did not go into details, but what was revealed and how sure she was when speaking about the power of Una, it was not something that Alyssia could underestimate.

Each of the people who had gathered along with her seemed to be just as strong, even if they may not have been a match for her.

They were all dressed in various styles of clothing that had different weighted armour on their bodies to suit the combat style they had.

Each of them seemed to be the absolute elite of the island that had gathered under the command of Una.

Any others of a much lower standard of power were nowhere to be seen.

Each of those people seemed to be the very best at what they did as they each held a different type of weapon.

Una looked over them one at a time before waving her hand. "Courage, Honour, Justice, Generosity, Faith, and Nobility. All of you, defeat her and make her kneel before me."

She looked a little disdainful and bored as she said those words before stepping back to observe the fight.

With each small look Una made as she spoke to each of the people gathered, Alyssia was able to know who each of them was.

Courage was a mature woman with an average height, athletic build and small breasts who had thick lips and long braided hair, with her hair hanging between her eyes.

She was wearing a gold and white armoured dress that resembled something a knight would wear, while she was holding a long spear.

Honour was a very muscular man who was dressed in silver armour with chainmail and a tunic, while he wore a helmet that had a cross on it, and he was wielding a mace and shield.

The helmet covered a lot of his face, but it could be seen that he likely had short hair and a little stubble facial hair.

Justice was a man who had medium-length wavy hair that was parted, and he had a long moustache and goatee facial hair.

He was dressed in silver armour with chainmail and a tunic, while he wore a headband and was carrying a huge sword.

Mercy was a woman of short height and medium breasts who had thin lips, and her hair was up in a double bun hairstyle with the sidelocks coming down the side of her face.

She was wearing black leather armour, gloves and a cape while she was carrying daggers with her.

Generosity was a tall woman with large breasts and medium curly hair that was sideswept.

She was dressed in shorts, gloves, a cross-laced shirt with a single sleeve and a cloak with the hood down, while she was equipped with a bow and a quiver full of arrows.

Faith was a tall man who was bald and dressed in white armour, a tunic and a cross necklace, while he was carrying a long bo staff over his shoulder.

Nobility was a tall man who had short hair, with it being long enough to fall between his eyes.

He was dressed in golden armour along with some other parts of his clothing that made him appear a little more noble or high-class than the others, and he was carrying a rapier along with him.

Each of them stepped forward without saying a thing.

They listened to the command of Una as if they had absolute loyalty toward her and were about to carry out their sacred duty.

There was no hesitation, and they took out their weapons and began their assault upon Alyssia.

Alyssia sighed in response. "Straight to fighting it is then! Bring it!"

A look of excitement appeared on her face as he began evading them one after another as they closed in on her each time.

They worked so well that they were able to form various formations that could cut off her path to escape and enhance their combat abilities as they worked together to bring her down.

Just as Alyssia dodged a spear thrust from Courage, the hold on the spear changed quickly to change its direction.

It was like a master of the spear was up against her, but that was not all.

Each of their movements was the result of them fully mastering and refining the skills that Alyssia had recently gained from Empirica Island.

They had made those methods work for themselves to suit their fighting style and preferences.

A spear was a good weapon to keep others away and to attack from a little further away.

It was not an easy weapon to master, and it required a lot of skill and control to be able to master it and wield a spear in combat against opponents who knew of the weaknesses of the spear.

Many would choose to close the distance right away, but the control Courage had over the spear had left no room for that.

Courage missed her target, yet she still was able to halt her previous attack before adjusting her grip enough to allow her to go after Alyssia again.

Honour ran in first, holding up a shield to ram into Alyssia while readying their mace to swing at her.

Justice followed behind, holding his huge sword above his head, ready to swing it down at her.

Mercy was moving around at a very fast speed with agile movements as if she were waiting for an opportunity to strike at Alyssia.

Generosity was further away, aiming her bow toward Alyssia while adjusting her position to a safer distance and to get a better shot before the arrows started flying.

Faith held onto their cross necklace as if praying devoutly as he walked slower than the others, holding his long bo staff that began to twirl around.

Nobility followed behind Honour and Justice with their rapier ready to be thrust out toward the location where Alyssia was fleeing to, while she was escaping each attack coming at her.

Even with her not holding back, Alyssia often found herself experiencing several close calls as she dodged their attacks that were happening all at once.

Just as she dodged one or several of them in an instant, they seemed not to give up their onslaught, as they were able to adjust to their situation in an instant.

They changed their stance, adjusted their grip on their weapon while making difficult movements look quite natural, even while some of them were wielding larger and heavier weapons that were more difficult to control that way.
