The water oni races were among the several race combinations Alyssia had managed to produce successfully that were hybrids of other existing races, while others were the result of developing races that had not yet existed in the world, using her knowledge of the Lineage Factor.
The only thing that seemed threatening about them was the very large mace that had been held over their shoulders.
Those three weapons, even if they were not yet pointed at Dr Anders, had already been perceived as a direct threat.
Dr Anders moved instantly without hesitation.
His hand reached for the nearby tool that was lying in the pool of blood before launching himself at the three people before they could fully process what was happening.
He moved according to the directives his body had been receiving, causing him to jump toward his weapons that had been developed.
Each scientist needed ways to protect themselves so that their work could not be stolen away, or they could not be coerced into making things that were too dangerous or illegal.
They were not allowed to sell weapons and dangerous inventions besides what was within the rules of Creation.
It was legal for them to carry weapons they made or purchased and to keep them, but they could not make money from them and have their weapons spread out into the world and be put into the hands of others who would be more likely to use them in a less controlled environment.
Two guns were picked up at the fastest speed he could move with the modifications he had made to his body.
He moved with a lot of efficiency and speed, causing those who were nearby to be caught off guard.
The guns were already pointed toward them as the aiming system aided in pointing the guns toward them accurately.
The triggers were pulled, causing the bullets to fly toward them, aimed at their heads.
They were both shots aimed to kill in one shot.
Before they could hit their targets, one of the people standing there moved just as fast.
It was the younger girl who was called Suigiri.
She crashed into her companions, causing them to be knocked over and away from the path of the bullets, causing them to miss their targets just enough to pass right by their skin, leaving a small scrape.
Her eyes narrowed, and her grip tightened on her mace as she rushed forward.
The next bullet was met with a swing of her mace, causing it to be hit away in another direction.
Just as another bullet was about to fly from one of the guns, Suigiri had already closed the distance.
Her mace had already swung toward the gun that was about to be fired.
It was knocked out of the hand of Dr Anders, but he did not seem to give up.
His other hand adjusted to fire once more as he aimed at her new position.
His body began to move with the best of his physical capabilities in an attempt to counterattack.
Suigiri was seen as the primary threat at that moment, causing the system to put all its focus on her.
The gun fired and hit its target at close range.
The expected result was to have the bullet pierce the skin, but that did not seem to happen.
The bullet impacted her body, but it did not break through her tough skin.
The endurance of the Fishman race protected her in that moment, causing some time to be bought for her response. "That hurt a little!"
It only angered her a little rather than causing her a lot of harm.
That only fueled her next attack as she swung her mace once again, allowing her to take out the other arm.
Both arms were disarmed, causing his threat level to lower, but that would not stop him.
The directives driving his body would not allow him to falter in front of the threat.
The threat would need to be eliminated before he would be allowed to rest and return to his original state.
The system directing him began to assess the situation, judging that there were still methods available to continue the fight.
His legs began to move to attack Suigiri as he tried to get closer after being knocked away a little.
Just as that was happening, two figures had already appeared by his side to grab him by his shoulder joints.
He was too distracted by his primary target, causing the other targets to have less priority to keep watch over.
The system was not too advanced, so it was not able to handle too much all at once, especially when it came to keeping a close watch over every small change and responding to it as efficiently as possible.
If it were a perfect system, then it would be able to handle much more and be able to respond to it much better, allowing for a much smoother combat efficiency.
The problem was that it had not been developed too well, and it could only be considered as a first-tested product that had yet to be improved and had its flaws fixed.
That created a weakness, causing the judgment to not be enough in the present situation.
Dr Anders was soon knocked to the ground and properly restrained, especially with the assistance of the multiple tentacles used by the female octopus merfolk.
The system was still active, causing him to resist, but it did not work properly once he had been cuffed and restrained enough to prevent any further movements.
A call was made on a sea snail a moment later. "Dr Anders is in a weird state right now and has killed his assistant. We are not certain what has happened, so we may require the assistance of a skilled scientist."
The voice of Monera came through. "Got it. Bring Dr Anders to a secure site and imprison him for now. Secure the laboratory and keep others from approaching. Dr Tsukimi will be informed about this. Good work."
It would not be until later that the cause of it all would be identified.
It was even tested by introducing weapons in front of Dr Anders to see the change he underwent before putting them away once more to confirm how he would return to normal.
Once everything had been figured out, Dr Anders had been charged according to the law, and he had been used as an example of what would happen if someone did not go through the correct procedures that had been put in place for those within Creation.
The incident would just be another opportunity to figure things out so that everyone could learn from past mistakes.
That event was just one of many that Suigiri would be able to learn more and hone the skills that she had begun training.
