(MC's POV)
After saying goodbye to my friends and the orphanage, I left with All Might for the Roppongi district in Minato, Tokyo.
Several hours later, we arrived in front of a towering skyscraper. At the top, a massive planet with dual rings spun proudly above it.
"Wow," I whispered.
All Might—currently in his deflated form—stood beside me."Let me introduce you: this is my Hero Office... the Might Tower!"
We stepped inside and rode the elevator to the top floor. A massive statue of All Might stood proudly in the middle of the hallway.
Grinning, I looked up at it and muttered sarcastically,"The Symbol of Peace and No. 1 Hero, All Might. Haha! What an overhyped hero... They don't know he's a slowpoke compared to me. I'm faster!"
"Falcon..." he sighed.
I spun around to face him, excitement bubbling up."Anyway, Dad! Where's my room? I wanna see my workshop!"
"Yeah, yeah, but let's move our luggage first. Then I'll give you a proper tour."
He showed me around. The building was like something out of a sci-fi movie. The rooftop had a special gate only All Might could use for dramatic hero landings. And beyond that—an inner section called the Might Gate, locked for everyone except him.
"What about me? Can I get access too?"
"Of course. You're living here now, so I'll register you in the security system."
"Whoa..."
(The technology here is amazing!)
He explained that a few floors down was the cafeteria, where he liked to sit by the window to watch over the city. One of the upper floors was a sleek meeting room where his staff handled hero-related business.
Eventually, we reached the farthest room on the floor. He opened the door.
"This is the room you requested."
"..."
My jaw dropped.
"Whoa..."
I bolted inside, amazed by how big it was."With this much space, I can make anything!"
I turned to All Might and smiled."Thanks, Dad."
His eyes widened, but then he smiled warmly."Yeah... I'm glad you like it."
It still felt surreal. He was once just my rival and friend. Now... he's my father.
After that, I started unpacking and jumped straight into building my projects.
(3rd Person POV)
A few days later, All Might visited his son's room. As he approached, he noticed a sign taped to the door:
[AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY]
"Huh?"
Curious, he knocked three times, then stepped inside.
"...Ichika?"
His eyes widened.
The room was filled with machines, tools, and gadgets. Shelves lined the walls, cables dangled from above, and sparks flickered from various workbenches. It looked more like a secret lab than a bedroom.
Then he spotted Ichika, holding a round metal shield with a star in the center.
Ichika casually flipped it, tossed it at the wall, and watched it ricochet off two corners before catching it mid-air with a spin.
"Haha! This tech is insane! I can't believe I actually pulled it off!"
All Might approached, dumbfounded."Uh... Ichika? What's that?"
"Oh, this?" Ichika grinned. "A high-durability shield designed to block most quirk-based attacks. You can also throw it to knock people out. But it still needs improvement—it couldn't withstand my special move."
He gripped the shield with one hand and ignited his right fist in flame and electricity.
Then he punched through the shield.
CRACK!
"Falcon Punch!!"
The shockwave shook the room, knocking several tools and parts to the floor.
All Might stared at the now-shattered shield in disbelief."Wh-What?! Ichika! That was already too durable! That wasn't a normal shield!"
"But it couldn't handle my punch." Ichika looked at the fragments. "I want to make one that can absorb, store, and redirect kinetic energy."
"That's... not really how physics works."
"Then I'll make it work."
Ichika puffed out his chest proudly."All I need is the right material. I'll show you."
All Might sighed and rubbed his temple."Fine, fine. But anyway—what about school? Do you have one in mind? I came to ask you about that."
"Thanks, Dad. I'll let you know if I find a decent one. Honestly, I just want to skip straight to high school. I'm tired of A-for-Apple, B-for-Ball nonsense."
He let out a bored yawn.
All Might gave him a serious look."Look, I know you're brilliant. Skipping grades isn't a problem—your books are university-level stuff I can't even understand. No matter where you are, you'll be at the top of your class."
He patted Ichika's head."But childhood is already short. Don't rush it. Spend time with kids your age, make memories. There's more to life than just studying."
"Okay, okay—I get it. Now get your hand off my head!"
All Might chuckled and pulled his hand away. Ichika crouched down and began picking up the shattered shield pieces.
"To think my old rival ended up as my dad. You're getting better at this parenting thing, All Might."
"Falcon, seriously—stop trying to act like an adult. It doesn't fit your current form."
"Sorry to disappoint, but I left my childhood behind in my mother's womb... and then she left me."
He spotted a red gauntlet on the floor and snatched it up.
"Right! I still need to finish the Iron Man suit. And the photon repulsors. Oh! I also need to finish the web shooters. And 3D Maneuver Gear!"
He had... a lot of projects.
A few days later...
Ichika used a roulette wheel to randomly choose a school. Fate, it seemed, liked surprises.
It was the first period of the day. The teacher stood in front of the class and smiled."Everyone, we have a new transfer student joining us. Come in!"
The door slid open. A tall boy with short pink hair walked in with a calm, expressionless face.
"A boy?"
"His hair's pink..."
The boys looked disappointed, hoping for a cute girl. The girls, however, were intrigued.
"He's cute."
"Looks cool!"
"Tall, too!"
The teacher gestured toward him."This is Ichika. He'll be with us from now on. Please treat him kindly."
She looked at him expectantly."Go ahead, Ichika. Introduce yourself."
He walked to the board and wrote his name."I'm Yagi Ichika. I'll be in your class from now on. Nice to meet you."
He gave a short bow.
"That's it?" the teacher asked.
"I was top of my class at my last school."
"Nothing more? You've got a good face—why not sell yourself better?"
"You're expecting too much from an elementary schooler."
"You were way more talkative this morning!"
"Well, I'm not feeling it right now."
"...Fine. Sit wherever you'd like."
Ichika scanned the room. The only open seat was at the back by the window.
(The protagonist's seat... Seriously? I'm not the main character of this world. I'm just a mob.)
With no other options, he sat down and looked outside.
(Not bad. Nice view.)
Then he turned to his seatmate.
"Hm?"
A female uniform was floating beside him.
(What?!)
"Hi! Nice to meet you, Ichika-kun! I'm Hagakure Toru. I hope we can be friends!"
(Img<<<)
She spoke cheerfully.
Ichika's cheek twitched.
(Of course. I meet someone like this on the very first day.)
To be continued.
A/N: I'll fix the mistakes later. Or maybe I'm just watching too much harem anime.
