After Shard helped Megan put on her coat, Miss Danester finally asked the question she really wanted to ask:
"If I didn't hear wrong, the Mirror Keeper said you are a God Summoner?"
She still wore a smile on her face, making it clear that all her earlier talk was leading up to this question. She seemed to enjoy watching Shard look flustered and at a loss more than actually exposing him.
But Shard calmly replied:
"He mistook me for someone else. He not only said I was a God Summoner but also claimed I was a member of the Edwards family. But the Academy has investigated my background, and I'm very sure I have nothing to do with Green Lake or the Edwards family."
The female sorcerer showed a regretful expression:
"Yes, Ail Harken really talks too much."
Even Megan understood what she was regretting, but Miss Danester quickly turned to the brunette behind Shard. However, the Academy Librarian did not speak to Megan but instead asked Shard:
