Chapter 3 - Lilac

While hugging the blanket I felt a tug. Like a pull on something. When I went to look at Sammy all I could see were lines. They looked like they were all coming out of his back at first, but they all connected to two points. The brain or the heart. There was more to the brain than the heart.

He opened his eyes then and I almost dropped through the bed, and floors below me. It took a few years off my life to say the least.

His eyes had puzzle pieces in them. All small ones, moving around. None fit together by the looks of it.

I immediately knew he was onto something. What was the tug before too?

"What the hell did you just try to do?" His eyes got darker, and pieces were fading. He needed to see this!

"I was trying to give you a calm box." Just then a string from the brain became brighter. Less static like. I could see for just a second the way it was moving.

"Whatever box you opened makes you look all like a person with static lines in a picture." I tried to explain. The pieces all moved in a circle. Did he just roll his eyes? "Try thinking of the emotion as a line with different wave lengths." I had to show him this!

I searched for a camera in the house. Found one! Cindys room, that isn't good. No choice! I ran for it, then ran back. Unpacking it and turning it on. Click.

His eyes got brighter, and the pieces moved around again. This time, however, the line that became lighter ran all around the room before it hit the window and stopped.

The time a different one became bright as the puzzle moved again. It went to the bed then it headed in my direction. So cool! So scary though. Click. They disappeared. His eyes were normal again before I approached to show him it.

He jumped back with his mouth hanging open. Could he not see himself in that puzzle state? The chair hit the table and moved everything on it.

This was so much cooler than my power! I can't believe he's so scared of it. Though I could understand the fear behind it, just like he could.

The light beyond the window got brighter. It was morning now. I need to get home soon.
