Eloi nearly let out a cold laugh, but held back, settling for a faint smirk and a soft scoff.
"Alright, you have the information you wanted. Time to wrap up this little drama. Drop the pregnant Omega and the Alpha operator at the pickup point," he said, tapping Hagen's shoulder before turning on his heel.
He took a single step before Hagen's voice stopped him cold.
"And what if I don't?"
Eloi turned sharply, his expression hardening. "What if you don't?" he rasped, the warning sharp enough to draw blood. "Then you'll leave here without a head!"
Hagen sourly pursed his lips—he knew better than anyone that Eloi didn't make empty threats.
Eloi walked out without another word, pulling out his phone the second the crisp air outside hit his face.
"They're on their way to the pickup point," he said, ending the call immediately.
On the other end, the guard nodded sharply before rushing to deliver the message. "Sir, they're en route," he said, bowing low.
