We come to radiator springs early morning, above a bar sleeping in his room is Max in his Ferrari form.
The sun slowly peeked through the curtains of max's window, colour creeping up his tires and his red paint job reflecting across the room as a red glow. his alarm showed 6:25am, all was quiet. The dastardly yellow light of the continued to slowly creep up higher and higher, heading for his eyes, it's one goal, beat the alarm to waking Max up. Closer and closer it got, the alarm showed 6:28am, the sunlight was now at his hood. 6:29am, the sun was staring to tickle his eyes
BANG!!!!!
The door to Max's room crashed open, hitting the wall and causing a massive bang. Mater Forcing his way in, screaming, "GOOD MORNING (VEITNAM!!!!)!!!! Rise and Shine!!
Max jolted awake, panicking, his headlights flashed and his engine revved as he awoke to Mater screaming at him
Max POV:
My engine heaved as I awoke, someone screaming at me in my daze, once my eyes adjusted to the brown blob that I could see in my half-awoken state I found Mater, Mater was too busy laughing to notice my deadpan expression appear on my face, sighing I said "Mater, what did I tell you about the screaming in the morning"
"To do it at Sally's" he replied to me with an innocent grin
"So why are you here" I muttered, more awake now, as we slowly made our way out of my bedroom and into the open living/main room. As we made our way into the room everything started to come alive, the curtains slid open with a whisper of the tracks, the kitchen dispenser against one wall came to life and started preparing a morning drink, the walls littered with posters and framed photos of races and podiums of Max in his racing form
"She was already awake and told me to come get you for your morning date!" he giggled
"it's not a date Mater, where just having breakfast together, it's called being good neighbours and friends"
"Every Morning" he said giving me a side eye as he moved over to the elevator to leave.
"Yep, perfectly normal"
"Alright. Anyway, gotta go I'll see you later tonight for that movie I found."
"Seeya Mater" I replied with an eye roll
The day passed slowly but leisurely, the breakfast with Sally was small and we mainly talked about the next thing for radiator springs, and don't get me wrong, porches are a beautiful car, but I couldn't see past her being a friend, maybe even an older sister. So yes mater, just breakfast.
Down the road Sarge had awakened shortly after my energetic alarm clock and set off his morning bugle for the whole town to hear. Fillmore soon battling against him with his more laidback music every day like clockwork.
Mater had brought another car in off the interstate that had taken a wrong turn and broken down due to a bad radiator however he was quickly fixed and on his way.
Nothing much happened today, and nightfall quickly took over the sky. everyone was either closing up and cleaning or meeting up at Flo's for drink. Mater had just pulled up at mine, and we were downstairs in the bar in-case anyone came looking for us. He had pulled out an old film he had found and wanted to watch it, on the cover surrounded by lightning was a car, a certain type of car anyone from my world would know what movie made it famous.
